Blutengel AI?
am i being paranoid or is Blutengel using AI in the cover of their upcoming EP? i know Chris has used it in the past but i kinda hoped the backlash from that would’ve turned him against using it…

How would you rank the early KMFDM albums pre-Angst but including Opium?
Some of the early albums are good but go on so long that it can feel like an endurance test to finish them at times. As such, they become less of my go-to albums. It may also just be my ADHD, but it made me curious to know how others would rank their early works - including Opium (in case someone didn't consider that an early release, even though it was).
Recommendations: who would I like atm?
Been a few years since I have actively tried to find good new artists, Who is new and good at the moment that I should check out?
I tend to like things that are more raw and harsh and heavy and stompy, with mean basslines. Not a big fan of the more gothic/melodic/post punky stuff
Examples of what I like: Youth Code, Author & Punisher, SARIN, The Soft Moon, Ottoman Grüw, HIDE, JK Flesh, 3TEETH (1st two albums), HEALTH, Panther Modern,
Zos Kia featuring Raymond Watts at VOD Fest
From Raymond Watts:
Many years ago and well before PIG and KMFDM were born I was in a band called Zos Kia. Originally formed by John Gosling, Jhon Balance and Peter Christopherson, I became involved when the later two left to concentrate on Coil. We released a handful of records in the U.K. that were lauded by the likes of NME and simultaneously decried by Sounds magazine as ‘the worst records ever made’ … you can probably guess which we were more proud of.
I have continued working with John over the years but this month we will reunite as Zos Kia for the first time since 1985 to play the VOD festival in Friedrichshafen, Germany on Sunday 19th July to bring you some savage, challenging and beautiful old school industrial music
RIP Rexx Arkana 🕊️
Charles Millhouse aka Rexx Arkana, founder of FGFC820, Coldkill and Bruderschaft, has died. RIP.
Bruderschaft is an electronic music collective led by New York City-based DJ Rexx Arkana. Conceived as a charity project focused on cancer research and treatment in the wake of Arkana's father's death from the disease, Bruderschaft brought together a large number of artists from the underground electronic music scene for the production of the band's first single, "Forever": the collaboration of Arkana (lyrics), Ronan Harris (VNV Nation - vocals), Sebastian Komor (Icon of Coil - programming/production), Joakim Montelius (Covenant - samples/loops) and Stephan Groth (Apoptygma Berzerk - backing vocals).
After the death of his father in 1999, Rexx Arkana shared with Ronan Harris and Joakim Montelius the lyrics he wrote for "Forever" and they were willing to help turn it into a proper song. In 2001, Arkana discussed the project with Sebastian Komor, who produced the basic track that later became "Forever" using loops that Montelius had made. In 2002, Harris was still willing to perform the lead vocals on the song and Stephan Groth was willing to perform backing vocals after hearing a rough version of the song.
Released by RazorBurn Records, in European partnership with Alfa-Matrix in 2003, the "Forever" EP (also available in a 2-Disc Limited Edition) featured a large list of remixers, including Front 242, Camouflage, Feindflug, Melotron, The Retrosic, Negative Format, Angels & Agony, Colony 5, Lights of Euphoria, DavaNtage, Grendel, Punto Omega, . "Forever" peaked at #1 on the DAC Singles charts and was ranked #7 on the DAC Top Singles of 2003.
In 2005, Bruderschaft was working on "Return", the band's second release. On the title track, the second incarnation of the group was to feature the programming talents of returning contributor Sebastian Komor, newcomer Johann Sebastian (State of the Union - composer); new vocalist Tom Shear (Assemblage 23); and lyricist Rexx Arkana (FGFC820).
A second new original from the band, "Trigger," features music written by Arkana and "Forever" remixer/FGFC820 member Dräcos and System Syn founder/vocalist Clint Carney. On January 21, 2009, it was revealed that the song would be released as part of an EP.
The band performed at the 2011 Kinetik Festival playing unreleased material with Tom Shear, Clint Carney, and Aesthetic Perfection founder/vocalist Daniel Graves.
In 2013, Bruderschaft returned with the single "Falling," featuring Daniel Myer of Haujobb on vocals. The collective announced that their EP Return would be released through the Alfa Matrix label later that year. Return was released in November 2013 as a nine-song CD; some versions contain a bonus CD with remixes.
So are beach towels now a thing?
Both Ministry and Laibach will happily sell you beach towels. Did they both happen to decide to be delightfully weird, or is this now a trend?
Does anyone else sell a beach towel that I’m now morally obligated to acquire?

FGFC 820's Rexx Arkana has passed away.
Rexx was in Manhatten when 9/11 occurred, resulting in his cancer diagnosis. He was an absolute legend in the scene.
From his wife's post:
"Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
Waking up today, I know things will never be the same. We lost the fight
Rexx Arkana passed peacefully yesterday morning surrounded by love. Oct 3rd 1968 - July 3rd 2026
He was the greatest man I've ever known. I have never and will never again, experience a love like ours.
He was my favorite everything. My person above all others. My husbear. My best friend.
I can't believe this is real. The pain is indescribable. But... I will continue to honor him and his wishes. Please be respectful to our family during this time. We will provide future plans once we know.
Please keep him in your heart and on your mind today. "

Best Hanzel Und Gretyl album post Transmissions...?
I love the first 2 HUG albums. Über Alles was just ok to me. I love metal, but I liked their more industrial sound on the first 2 albums. I'm listening to Scheissmessiah now and it's not bad, but what would you say is their best after Transmissions? Also, did Oz Faktor ever get leaked?
how do you interpret this track?
i personally think it kinda resembles a lot of the working class’s struggles, specifically in the USA, so the viewpoint could be from an average worker from Chicago talking about his country and the many issues it brings to its people
one point i’ve been thinking about is this:
“Bush, former head of the C.I.A., you know
A guy like him kinda puts the nail in the coffin
It's like big brother's trying to push his weight around
At least Clinton came from somewhat meager means
He can relate to the common guy
He knows what we're going through
(Laugh)”
does it look like an american worker trying to figure out the “lesser evil” side for him and the whole working class? like he’s trynna convince himself, or has just fallen for this sort of propaganda that there’s someone who cares about him?
Great Industrial Remixes (although some of the remixes on the original release of the same title have been replaced with different artist such as Creüx Lies and Kill Shelter on this new release with new cover art) of Christian Death Death Remix album from Cleopatra Records. Anybody else heard this?
DIE KRUPPS, THE ELECTRIC HELLFIRE CLUB, KLUTE, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, KILL SHELTER and more. However, I do miss the great remixes by Bigod 20 and LAIBACH.
Revolting Cocks - You Often Forget (Malignant)
youtube.comFound this for $15. Never heard it before, but I feel like I just opened a door to something cool
The album cover sold me. Apparently this is a classic I'd never heard before.

What one song sums up industrial music?
I keep getting asked what industrial music is by friends and such, and I'd like to let them know with just one song, but it's difficult because of how broad industrial music really is. What song would you play for other people to show them what industrial music is, what one song captures as much of the genre as possible for you?
The Gruesome Twosome - Hallucination Generation (1989)
Classic late ‘80s electro-industrial stomper.
