Hello everyone!

I'm going to hold a giveaway to help out with the TS group visit.

There will be 3 winners all up.

1st place will receive 40 hearts 🎁

2nd place will receive 20 hearts 🎁

3rd place will receive 10 hearts 🎁

I will organise gifting the hearts with the winners.

This giveaway will be a treasure hunt for those who enjoy exploring the realms of sky.

For 6 days I will be posting 4 pictures of places in Sky each day, 1 easy, 2 medium, and 1 hard.

Locate as many pictures as you can, the harder the picture, the more points you are rewarded.

You will need to find the pictures in Sky and DM me a photo of it, your sky kid must also be in the photo saying “I Spy”.

You will have 24 hours from the time I post to find the places and send in your photos.

At the end I will calculate the points to see who has won, if there is a tie I will post a tie breaker picture.

If you would like to enter for fun, but don't need the hearts, please do so, but let me know.

If there is enough interest I will be posting the first lot of pictures within 24 hours.

Though these tips can't guarantee a risk-free trade, they may help in identifying a scammer before they have the chance to scam you.

Here are some common red flags to look out for when trading with someone.

Please note that not all scammers will behave the same, nor is someone automatically a scammer if they show some of these.

Ultimately, you will need to assess your situation and trust your instincts to make the right decision for you.

##Across the board/behavioural red flags

* Brand new account/account with little activity.

* Anyone who demands something outright without good reason or proof, and isn't ok to negotiate without explanation.

* Someone who is unreliable in communication; not replying for days without a reasonable explanation, or who keeps changing their story/plans.

* Anyone expressing aggression, extreme defensiveness when unprovoked, or showing little respect.

* Delaying/making excuses for not completing/continuing their part of the exchange.

* Unrealistic and inconsiderate expectations.

* Trying to rush you to make decisions, and threatening to terminate the trade.

#Heart traders: someone offering hearts

* Trying to make you feel guilty or sorry for them.

* Asking for the item or services before they add you on all of their alts.

* Asking for the item or services before gifting any hearts without any previous verified trades.

#IAP Traders: someone offering IAPs

* Accusing you of scamming or showing extensive concern that you will scam them.

* Treating you as a service rather than a human.

* Asking for a large portion/all of the hearts before gifting the IAP with no proof of previous trades or a good explanation.

* Asking for the fully rendered art or watermarked art before gifting the IAP.

* Asking to go second when swapping Passes with no negotiation and no trade history.

* Asking for the Uber services first before gifting the IAP with no trade history.

* Someone offering to gift you the IAP(s) through the Sky Web store via your Sky ID. This is a way to steal your account.

#Art Traders: someone offering art

* Taking too long to produce any work.

* Doing less than what was agreed and asking for the payment.

* Not willing to or complaining about making changes.

* Starkly different style from their examples.

#Uber Traders: Someone offering Uber services

* Asking for your login so they can CR your account.

* Asking for the payment at the start or sooner than agreed.

* Not completing CR as they promised.

* Making frequent/unrealistic excuses for why they can't CR.

These are just some of the most common reg flags for each type of trader. If someone shows a large amount of these or you feel suspicious about them, please reach out to a Mod.

###Advice

When you first negotiate a trade and something feels a little off, stop and ask yourself whether you are willing to risk what you are offering at the chance of being scammed.

#Scammer reports

##We want to keep r/SkyChildrenofTrading a safe space for everyone, but unfortunately, despite our best efforts, scammers can still make an appearance.

So here we will talk about how SkyChildrenofTrading deals with scammers and scam reports, and some red flags that might help you identify scammers.

#Reporting a scam/scammer

If you find you have been scammed by someone in this group, or suspect a scam is taking place, you will need to report it to a Mod.

You will need sufficient evidence to substantiate your claim before you reach out to a Mod.
Please also ensure your evidence is as clear as possible in order to help our Mods take action quickly and confidently.

If your claim is approved, the person in question will be dealt with accordingly.

#Scam penalties

r/SkyChildrenofTrading doesn't tolerate scammers.
If anyone is identified as a scammer they will be immediately banned from the group and their username black listed.

#Trade Verification

##Whether you are new to trading or just new to our group, we encourage you to verify your trades to help reassure your future trade partners.

##First time traders/Trades completed within r/SkyChildrenofTrading

To gain a Trade Verification, you will need to complete a trade within this group.

First, you will need to either create a post advertising your trade offer, or comment on an advertisement from one of our other members whom you would like to trade with.

Once your trade is complete, you can apply for a Trade Verification.
Reach out to a Mod through DM or Modmail with as much proof as you have showing you and your trade partner both received what was agreed. You can also make a post with any additional proof, and tag the same Mod so they can add it to your application to see if you are both eligible for a verification.

##Advised proof

These are the types of proof we need in order to approve your Trade Verification application.

• Clear communication, and well organised proof so it is easier for us to verify you.
• Screenshots/video showing the initial communication and organisation of said trade showing both sides’ agreement.
• Screenshots/video proving you provided what you promised.
• Screenshots/video proving your trade partner also provided what they promised.
• Any in-game screenshots or videos should ideally show the trade partners with the same name as their corresponding Reddit username.
• A link to your original post, ideally with your trade partner showing interest in the form of a comment, or vice versa.
• It is advised that you keep all communications solely on Reddit, but exceptions may apply given enough proof that both Reddit and other social account belong to the same person.
• Your trade partner should be able to verify you and your trade with their own proof if a Mod contacts them.

If your application is approved, you will receive a flair that shows you have completed one verified trade in this group, this flair will be updated by a Mod with each verified trade you complete.
Once you have completed three verified trades, you have the opportunity to ask a Mod for a custom, and unique flair. This flair can be whatever you’d like as long as it abides by Reddit and r/SkyChildrenofTrading standards.

#External trade verification

If you have past experience with trading, and can provide sufficient proof of past successful trades, you can contact a Mod via DM to see if you are eligible for an External Trade Verification.

##Necessary proof.

• Screenshots/video showing the initial communication and organisation of said trade showing both sides’ agreement.
• Screenshots/video proving you provided what you promised.
• Screenshots/video proving your trade partner also provided what they promised.
• Any in-game screenshots or videos should ideally show the trade partners with the same name as their corresponding Reddit username, if trade was completed through Reddit.
• A link to your original post, ideally with your trade partner showing interest in the form of a comment or vice versa.
• Your trade partner should be able to verify you and your trade if a Mod contacts them.

If you are missing some of these requirements, you can still apply for an External Trade Verification if you feel you have sufficient proof.

Please note:

• You can’t acquire a Trade Verification using external trades, you can only gain these from completing trades within this group.
• You can only have two External Trade Verifications, after that you need to complete trades in the group.
• External Trade Verification does count towards a personalised flair, but you will need one Verified trade in this group to be eligible.

##Things to consider

To avoid exploiting this system by using multiple accounts to gain Trade Verification, accounts that are new or with no Karma/activity may have their trade applications turned down.
If there is evidence of fraud in any applications, that person will receive an instant ban effective on both r/SkyChildrenofTrading and r/SkyChildrenofRage.
