What's Happened To CardTrader.com?!

Cards not arriving (yet the tracking number provided shows they were delivered). Cards lost once they've arrived (click to send all my cards then they let me know which ones have disappeared from my box - this time round, a whole bunch of cards that had gone up).

I've probably sent 3-4 emails over the last 2 months - and haven't had a reply to any of them.

Just checked some cards that are still in transit, that I ordered in April, and their new estimate is 16th June. Two months.

I only ever filter by fast sellers.

I only checkout my basket when I've reviewed every date, to make sure they're all pretty fast... But as soon as they've got your money - - - they couldn't care less.

£25 postage each time to send my cards. I couldve made around 20 postage payments with that - and I'm sure I would have got coverage for all the cards I needed...

On paper, the process was great - and my first two Zero orders were good. But the last one was so slow and behind estimates by over a month. Now this one, I've had to punch it now, because I need the cards, but it's literally 80% of what I've ordered - so when the other 20% finally arrives - I'll have to pay another £25 postage.

Updated Kickstarter Price Breakdown.

This is based on "Level" not "Tier".

Does not factor the sliding scale of postage, which can be a real humdinger if you check your rate.

Holding packs at $5.83 ($140/24). Following discussions and feedback, the KS Exclusive Boss 4-Pack is now $10 instead of $5. To increase the value of Level 1 so it's not just 4 packs at standard.

Kickstarter Founder Packs have been updated from $20 to $25, due to rarity, the fact it's 4 cards not 1-2 and akin to an MTG Box Topper.

Also, as per previous update, EVERY box ordered before 6th June gets the 4 booster pack bonus, not just your first box. So the bigger levels have been updated.

Prices and "value" do not factor Stretch Goals, as there is still some ambiguity with which levels have exclusive stretch goals and which ones get what.

Level 1 and 2 are modelled with a Box Add on at $140 so that each level has at least 1x Box.

Happy to listen to thoughts and feedback.

Even More Value Town...

Based on a box being $140, a pack is therefore (140/24) $5.83

The four bonus art cards need to have a worth/value, call it five bucks.

The Founder Edition Prize Packs, I think maybe too cheap in my estimate, called that a $10 pack. (Is it a single card in those packs?)

Playmats are $27.50 each (Box plus 2 mats is $195).

So a Level 1 with a Box Bolt On (ordered before 6th June) seems to give the most value. 32 packs for $165 with a founder bonus that comes with each box of ordered early enough plus the Boss Cards.

The Box Level (3) gets less packs in total, plus playmats, for $30 more, and no exclusive Boss Cards.

What's Best Bang For Buck On Kickstarter?

Level 1. 4 packs (quarter box) $25 (plus four bonus cards thay Lv3 and above DON'T get). So $6.25/pack. So a box/24, would be $150. Confirmed as an add on for $140, small saving offered. OK.

Level 2. 12 packs ("worth" $75). Plus a Playmat ("worth" $30), plus the cool four bonus cards, $99 (and you can add on a box for $140 as mentioned to get 24 more packs AND 1x Founder Pack).

Level 3. A box, 24 packs ($140) plus 4 bonus packs of early enough ($25), plus two playmats - - $195. So the playmats are valued at $25-$30 each. Unless you get the early "before 6th" June +4 boosters. You get 28 packs for $195 (and two playmats if that's what you're into for value).

So if you don't think a Playmat is worth an additional $20-$30, then surely the wise money is Level 1 with a box bolt on. $25+$140=$165. For that you get 28 packs (4+24) *not* a box plus four (you're buying 4 and bolting on 24). Plus the four collector edition alt arts.

Or, pay $30 more, sacrifice the 4 cards, and you get some playmats.

The only defining factor is the stretch goals. From my understanding, each level has access to a different stretch goal (?) So if you're at a higher level, you get better stuff (but have no idea about this).

Does anyone else have any ideas or views on value, worth, "best deal" to get bang for buck. Especially if you have no interest in deck boxes, playmats, etc. Just looking to get cards, play cards, build decks...

Shout out Stans Games, Falmouth (UK). Budget Brew Challenge Complete!

First LGS I've found in England that has folders and folders of cards to browse AND bulk boxes too.

Challenged myself to make a deck exclusively from only the cards available to me in the store.

I built Gharid in the end. Loads of red to make treasures, white to make 1/1 humans and green to make all sorts of 3/3, 5/5, 4/3 etc!

Then the red hasty boys to come out and tap to generate the value.

Really enjoyed finding an LGS on my travels that had well sorted stuff to go through.

Grading In The UK?

Hi all, I've asked before across Reddit, but nowhere is conclusive and some are just shady as fook.

But I'm interested in getting maybe 4-6 cards graded, ideally TAG, maybe PSA. But can't find a place that does it. Some LGSs at venues have said they do it, then I've contacted them later and the process if either dumb, crazily expensive, or suspicious.

I'm in the Midlands, ideally, I'd drop them at a shop that does group grading or something. Or at this point, I'd send them off myself, but can't even find confirmed details for DIY submissions for UK.

Does anyone have a good knowledge of UK grading? I'm not interested in reselling either, so even if it was slabbed and preserved by some random firm, I dont especially mind. I just think TAG slabs look the prettiest.

Wolves. Lots of Wolves.

Hey Brewers,

It has come to my attention whilst reviewing a lot of Gruul cards that I have a ridiculous amount of Crimson Vow/Midnight Hunt/Double Feature - which all heavily involve making/owning 2/2 Wolf tokens.

Does anyone have a Wolf deck list made around this time, or centred with these cards in mind? I've collected since then, so may have others, and don't mind throwing a bit of money in plugging gaps.

But Grrul/MonoGreen Wolves? Any ideas/deck lists please?

This suit... Stinks.

Bought a suit. Photo was probably Ai'ed to make it look pro.

Arrived, and I can't put into words how strongly it smells of charity shop.

Don't mind people making a few quid getting killer finds and flipping them... But you HAVE to say it reeks... Surely

Now I'm in the same bubble, can give bad feedback because they just give you reciprocal bad feedback and ruin my account for them being an awful seller.

End of rant. Stupid system.

Just go wide with etb value pieces? I'm trying to build it, but kind of need counters to maximise pay off... But counters want small creatures to beef, I want big creatures to also beef... I dunno.

Anyone got a game plan or a deck to share?

Photo doesn't do it justice, but the TV adverts, they move really weird - they have crazy skin texture and teeth... Is it just a massive amount of filters and edits, or are these three (in the adverts at least) AI generated?

Potentially 3 real blokes/actors/owners, but in the TV adverts... Its uncanny valley.
