I blew through my shoes in 5 months. Went there to buy another pair and ended up with free pair. (I didn’t even know the pair I bought came with a 6 month warranty.)

Entertaining RLE to delete reading glasses. 58 y/o, 20/20 distance, no cataracts, .75 (mild) astigmatism

I'm having more and more acquaintances getting RLE surgery to lose the reading glasses. (Yes, I realize such a small sample is nothing to base a decision on.) I'm interested in hearing others' input on the matter. Couple other questions for anyone in the know:

  1. Having stable distance vision ever since LASIK, is having only one eye treated an option? (Or is there a good reason to have both eyes done when only treating presbyopia?)

  2. Any other options people have had success with for a similar situation? Contact(s)?

  3. Do any tennis players that went the monovision route have input on how it affected play?

Why isn't there more interest in resolving presbyopia? Kind of feels like the early days of LASIK right now. With phones today it's a constant battle with readers when you don't need glasses and don't want to mule around a phone the size of an iPad...

Note: I highly value the importance of a natural lens. I plan to fully research anything before pulling the trigger. I'm willing to pay a premium to get this done right. We're all getting our lense punched out eventually if you live long enough. (I also realize a poor outcome is much more sexy reading than, "Worked fine for me.") Hope you can help!

I apologize if this has been asked before and feel free to point me to an older thread.

I’m a newer driver and I’m not getting how it’s possible too break down a request you get with the passenger in your car, while you’re driving, not trying to run over anybody, in the 15 seconds it gives you to pull the trigger. (The whole thing feels like a set up to make you accept terms you normally wouldn’t if you had all of maybe, 30 whole seconds to make a decision.)

Help!
