Worried about GRC role

I’m a Software Engineer (MERN, Python, AWS) with an offer for a GRC/Identity Management role (Associate Security Analyst) at a healthcare product company. HR says it’s semi-technical/process-driven.

I have background in development though.

My questions:

Future: Career growth/pay in GRC vs. pure SDE?

Skill Decay: Will my coding skills die if I stay for 2 years?

Pivot: Can I transition to DevSecOps or Security Engineering later?

Verdict: Take it as a fresher or wait for an SDE role?

Worries about GRC role

I got an offer for a GRC/Identity Management role (Associate Security Analyst) at a healthcare product company. HR says it’s semi-technical/process-driven.

But I have background in development where I said that I can use my technical knowledge to do the sika management.

My questions:

Skill Decay: Will my coding skills die if I stay for 2 years?

Pivot: Can I transition to DevSecOps or Security Engineering later?

Unclear about the cyber security role

How is the future in cybersecurity? I have an interview for an Associate Security Analyst role.

If I take this job and try to switch to a software development role after a year, will this experience add value to my profile?

Or should I continue in cybersecurity and pursue similar roles within this specialization?

I'm confused and would appreciate your advice.

Accenture post offer letter

I accepted my Offer Letter for Accenture's AASE  role on 26-05-2026. I’m currently waiting for the **Fast Onboarding mail** and the further assessments (MCQ/Coding/Viva).

So far, I haven't even received the mail to select my tech stream. I've heard that passing this assessment is the only way to get an earlier joining date.

Is anyone else from the **May** batch still waiting for their assessment links? Does anyone have a contact or a way to follow up on the Fast Onboarding eligibility?

Thanks!

Cursor pro plan

Can I first subscribe to the yearly plan on Cursor, use it for one month, and then cancel the subscription? That’s possible, right? Why waste the extra 4 dollars?

Cursor free limit exhausted after architecture phase - what’s the best workflow now?

I used Cursor Architect/Plan mode heavily for a large project and completely exhausted the free usage limit (even across multiple accounts).

Now I mainly need to BUILD module-by-module.

What’s the best workflow from here?

Options I’m considering:

  • Windsurf Editor mode + using the .md architecture files
  • Continue.dev + OpenRouter APIs
  • Claude web/manual workflow
  • VS Code + AI extensions

I don’t want another setup where planning/context burns all tokens before implementation even starts.

Title: Lost Cursor Architect Plan After Opening Real Project Folder

I first used Cursor Architect mode without opening a project folder. Cursor generated a large plan and referenced a file like:

trainer_marketplace_fitness_app_fb4679b1.plan.md

Later I opened the actual project folder in Cursor. After that, clicking the .plan.md file stopped working.

Now:

1)Ctrl+P can't find it

2)Repo search finds nothing

Did Cursor create it as a temporary virtual artifact instead of a real file?

How can I find it?
