The car is an E92 335is MT. I had my guy who normally does all the interior and sound system stuff install an iD4Motion digital cluster a couple years ago. He did not do any coding after and I was unaware about needing to do it. The battery has had drainage issues since then and Ive gone through 2 batteries. Anyway, the new battery cant be coded and the mechanic thinks it due to the gauge cluster.

TDLR- Does a new cluster need to be coded? Is that something a normal mechanic can do or do you need specialized BMW tools?

I'm about 5 hours in and starting to feel overwhelmed by all the puzzle and character tasks that I cant interact with for now. What is the best way to approach exploration in this game? Do you go about running around the entire area exploring it all before moving the story forward with the main quest? Or do you stay on the main quest and kind of explore as you go? Does the PDA give you enough info about leads and what not that you can figure stuff out? Or is keeping notes and pictures in your phone a must?

I'm just not sure my method of exploring every rock, tree and crevice as I go is the way the game is best played.
