Henna on curls, does it ruin the curls?

(Sorry if this has been asked already, have no idea how to search within a subreddit)
Hi! I live in Saudi Arabia and was talking to a friend about how I wanted to dye my hair red or auburn, when she suggested using henna instead. I’ve been doing my research and it seems my only concern is losing my curls. I have defined curls, but when looking through other peoples experiences and seeing how the curls were weighed down and only looked wavy or frizzy after, I’m starting to have second thoughts on doing this. The henna I was given is pure local henna powder, and said friend suggested that amla powder in the mix helps with curls. Does that really help?

Just ranting about depression and my life, no true need to read this

Hi, I’m genuinely sorry to anyone who sees this for wasting their time, I just couldn’t stay silent anymore. I’ll take it down eventually out of fear of people actually reading it

I’m eighteen years old and have had depression since the start of high school. I completely lost myself. No interest in my millions of hobbies, I don’t do anything but lay in bed and sleep until sundown. And it seems my adhd is working against the depression which makes it all the more exhausting. My family doesn’t believe in mental illness. They always pick on me for my adhd, pointing out my constant fidgeting or just how I zone out for around an hour when they bother me. I know what’s happening, I hear them, but I just can’t move. I also got social anxiety from my mom’s side, have no friends because making friends is scary. All my friends left me years ago and they spread rumors about me being evil or demonic just because I enjoy heavy and death metal. Was heavily bullied in school, even teachers disliked me for being dyscalculic. All I hear at home is my parents complaining about money and am trying to help out as much as I can considering my college tuition will be the biggest burden on them, they won’t let me stay home, I have to go to college according to them. I’ve tried going out more frequently but it’s so lonely since I’m always by myself. My only purpose in life is to raise my baby brother and try my best to make sure he doesn’t end up like me in that narcissistic household, and even at that I’m failing. I’m also constantly struggling because I can’t speak or understand Arabic well, which is annoying considering I’ve lived in Jeddah since I was two or three.

Need help deciding my next move

Hello to anyone reading this, I’m sorry to be posting. I’ve just gotten my tahsili scores and sound out that the highest I got was in the mid 60s, for qudurat I got high 70s, and my high school GPA is around 85. The tahsili score came out a few hours ago and I’m scared to tell my father because he gets violent when mad and calls me horrible things. I can’t move out because I have no job, money, or a place to stay. No friends either. So I have no life pretty much. Along with chronic depression I just don’t know what to do. I applied for the program of my choice on Qubul but I have no chance of getting in. I’m stupid and it’s very clear in my grades. I also have to completely clean my room over night and pack a bag just in case I need to leave if things get too violent. What can I do academic-wise? I personally want to study at BMC but can’t apply yet because the applications for public uni haven’t finished. Again, sorry for bothering anyone

School related question

Hi! Sorry to bother anyone who reads this, but I have a concern regarding school grades. My high school average in Qubul is in the 80s when it was supposed to be in the 90s because I don’t speak Arabic or understand it so I was in the easy Arabic program. They however placed me in the regular classes on the school app. So all the Arabic homeworks, quizzes and projects were put as a zero for me when I wasn’t even supposed to do them. They said they’d take care of it. I graduated a few weeks ago and saw that they put my high school average as 87, that’s so low and I need at least a 90 to get into the program I was planning on. Without the Arabic mistake I would have been at 91. Can this be fixed or am I just not going to college?

Lots of questions coming from a freshly graduated high school student

Hi! I’ve just graduated high school and don’t really have anyone I know in this field, and have quite a few questions if it’s not too much of a bother. Radiology was my backup choice, but after doing a lot of research it’s slowly becoming my first.

What does a typical workday look like?
Which imaging modality do you specialize in?
How much patient interaction is there?
Is the work physically demanding?
How do you handle stressful cases?
What did you wish you had known before studying radiology?
Which courses were most challenging?
Is it math heavy?
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What are the biggest downsides?
If you could choose again, would you still pick this profession?
What was it like finding your first job?

Sorry for the lots of questions, I know it’s a lot but I’m a very curious person and am worried about paying for college only to switch majors later on.

How do I get an elegant or sophisticated look?

Hi! I have a college interview coming up soon and am terrified. I wear very simple makeup daily that takes me less than ten minutes to do, not even eyeshadow because I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make it look good unless putting it under my eyes but then people tell me that it’s wrong. I’m expected to look professional for the interview and genuinely don’t know how that would work. I use concealer, liquid blush or a tint, lip oil, and sometimes I’ll do at home lash extensions so I don’t look too dead. It’s the only way I can put on false lashes. If anyone knows how to get a sophisticated makeup look please let me know! Thanks <3

What are things you did to help you at your lowest?

Hi, I’m sorry in advance for bothering anyone who’s reading this,
I live with a family who doesn’t believe in mental illness and are very religious. While my mother does believe my doctor, my father doesn’t. He’s banned me from seeking professional help. He tells me I’m lazy, stupid, and just need to find god then I’d be happy. I have chronic depression, adhd, social and generalized anxiety disorders, and genuinely don’t know what to do. I feel useless. I recently found out maladaptive daydreaming isn’t normal, but it helps me stay sane. Everyone tells me super generic stuff like ‘go to the gym’ or ‘have you tried talking to people your age?’, yet I can’t see my only friend because any time I plan to, my father goes on a rampage as we call it in my family and starts taking it out on me. Yelling, throwing stuff, the usual. Or at least I think it is. I’ve associated leaving the house with danger from a young age so I now have one friend. I’m sorry that I’m venting. What are activities or things that have worked for you?

Online relationship half across the world

Hey, I was hoping to get an opinion on the situation and see what others think. I’ve been in an online relationship with someone half across the world for the past seven months. He’s great, we both share the same nerdy interests, love the same games, it’s great to finally have someone to relate to. Both of us have the same neurodivergence and he seems to understand me on a different level than others. He can immediately tell when I’m feeling down and it’s the same for me. While it did start great, I think he’s gotten bored of me. He doesn’t ever text first anymore, it’s been almost a week of dead silence from him, the only time he sends something is a snap to keep the streak. He’s obsessed with snap streaks. And he talks to me only when he’s bored at work, even then he just says something dirty and vanishes until later, when he’s drunk and doesn’t even know what he’s saying. Last week he was talking about SH and ending life, when I pushed further he admitted to cheating on me and couldn’t handle the guilt. Me never have being in a relationship before this, I forgave him. I’m in a constant battle with myself mentally questioning what I could have done wrong. Even my relatives have noticed I’ve been more irritable and crying ‘randomly’. I’ve considered ending the relationship but I just can’t get myself to. I don’t want to lose him, even though I don’t have him now. What should I do about it?

Superglue everywhere

Hello, I decided to get crafty and dry to fix an old jewelry box I had. I bought superglue for this, went to open it, and it exploded all over. My main concerns are my wooden dresser, the tile, and my crocheted shirt. Is there a way to get superglue off of these? First and last time using superglue lol.

Superglue on hand, won’t come off. Burns like hell

18F, exactly as the title states. I opened a new thing of superglue and i guess there was pressure in the tube because it exploded all over my hands. I got it off my palms, but it’s not coming off of my fingers and nails. It’s starting to burn really badly and I’m not sure how to get it off. The consequences of fixing things myself on days of no sleep. Would acetone be safe to try and get it off?

Edit: I got most of it off thanks to the comments. All that’s left is some sort of rash from the glue. Hurts less now and I’m trying aloe on the rash to try and lessen the pain. Almost feels like a burn but looks like hives.

College application is hard

Hi, so sorry to have bothered anyone reading this. I graduated from grade school many weeks ago and have begun the college application process, but I’m having a lot of trouble with it. Didn’t expect it to be this bad. I’m applying to Fakeeh College and am unable to create an account to apply. When I contacted them they didn’t even bother to respond. And my school won’t give me my transcript or diploma yet so I worry I won’t have it by the time I apply. Anyone know what to do in this situation? Also, what other schools should I apply to for a bachelors in biology, medical laboratory sciences, or anything similar that has lab work? I logged into Qubul and noticed all the bachelors are in Arabic, so I’ll have to get a friend to translate that later on. parents aren’t around to help me with the whole college thing, sorry again.

Disappearing items and other stuff

Sorry in advanced for my strange choice in words, lately my mind has been very fuzzy.

So I’m having things disappear right in front of me. I don’t see it literally vanish, but anything that I actually use disappears. Just this morning I took my medication and set it where I always to on my desk then left my room to hang out with my baby brother. I come back and it’s gone. I searched everywhere and to this day can’t find it. But when I purchase another one the same thing happens. Another instance happened one night when I was up alone. I like to crochet at night when my family doesn’t bother me. I set down my scissors and they were gone. Later that night I woke up to them under my pillow opened with a cut on my neck from it. Last month it was makeup, this month it’s medication, I can tell that there is a pattern of how it’s stuff I frequently use, and it’s always a similar category of items for a period of time. I also get really bad feelings like I’m being watched. My room is beyond messy but I still know where everything goes, I rarely lose items on my own. My family is Muslim and believe in jinn, but I myself am not religious. It’s known that there’s a family member who has an attachment to a jinn, but no one will tell me more about it. I had a friend suggest trying tarot but it was too much. The deck just sits away in my drawer. I’m desperate to find a solution. I’m on day three no sleep because I always have that feeling of being watched. It worsens in the dark and at night. When the feeling gets worse I also get very sick, nausea, migraines, sometimes worse. I can’t just move because I’m the only one who seems to notice it in this house. I can also sometimes see something. I’m sure this description has been heard millions of times, but it’s a tall, shadow-like figure. I’m not sure if this could be related or not but there’s a story I remember from my childhood where I was very sick, running a high fever, and standing in the hall. I saw my brother crawl from his room to mine, which are next to each other, but when I went to look he wasn’t there. He was asleep in his own bed. The way he was staring at me when crawling, and his neck turned to face me in an inhumanely way, but my parents never believed me. I know my dad saw it too. He looked straight at it.

Is there a way to prove that this is something paranormal, or is everyone else right and I’m just losing my mind?
