A Friendly Safety Reminder for EVERYONE Here
Like anywhere else on the internet, there are scammers and people who misrepresent themselves in this subreddit too.
I've personally come across people pretending to be someone else or using fake identities, and in one instance, someone even claimed to be an ex-Muslim when they weren't.
I also spoke to someone who initially seemed kind and humble, but after I declined their proposal, they became abusive and started insulting me. Thankfully, I hadn't shared any personal information that could have been misused.
This is just a reminder for both men and women: please be cautious before sharing personal information, even something as simple as your full name. If you decide to meet someone from here, choose a public place, let a trusted friend or family member know where you'll be, and prioritize your safety.
Most people here are genuine, but it's always better to be cautious than to regret it later.
