Danger Danger! Mistaken identity! I guess there are no fact-checkers at Parade Magazine? πŸ˜’

Ummmmm.....this is Ted Poley, not Paul Laine....and I am 99.9% certain the writer of the piece was decades away from being born when Danger Danger was originally active in the scene, regardless of with Ted OR with Paul....

Jealousy Release Anniversary ⨳ Tour Book Appreciation ⨳ PART ONE

In tandem with u/kamijo69's post in recognition of the anniversary release of Jealousy, here is some appreciation for the Violence in Jealousy tour book ~ the majority of it anyway! The last slide is a shot of a couple of merch and fan club fliers that came with. There are a few pages of Yo in his skivvies which Reddit's filters automatically zapped (thanks πŸ‘Ώ), so I will post those separately with a NSFW tag. Please forgive any imperfections as I used my phone (which could admittedly use an upgrade).....

hide Guitar Appreciation ⨳ "Mockingbird Model" as seen in the Celebration MV

Even hide's guitar supervisor, Takayuki Hyogo, didn't know much about this one. 😬😸 I find it curious that it was featured in a music video yet it was discovered lying around in a warehouse. And is there really any question that hide was NOT responsible for the artwork? The imagery and style were totally his calling card. πŸ˜ΈβœŒοΈπŸ‘οΈ

Slide 2 is from Pinky Promise; Slide 3 is from Closet Collection (there was no additional commentary in that particular book).

If anyone has additional information or fun tidbits about this guitar, please share! AND, maybe it is imminent that X Japan's YouTube channel will officially drop the full Celebration video soon.🀞 It has been slowly reappearing on other channels recently which is interesting, considering it was being removed left and right due to policing by Sony...bilibili was seemingly the only resource for anyone who otherwise does not own the Visual Shock DVD box. Hmmmmmmmm.....

Warren looks like he's on the best date night of his life! And apologies for the typo of NICKO'S name in the original post...

Ratt-n-Roll Children ❀️ Happy Father's Day 2026

I could not locate shots of Warren's daughter, Marion; or Juan's other son, whose name is escaping me ~ if anyone has anything, please share! Apologies to Juan's ex-wife, Debbie, who I cropped out of the shot with Jesse. They are long-since divorced anyway.... 😬😸

*HAPPY FATHER'S DAY* to all the Ratt-n-Roll Dads out there...even if you don't have kids...any other younger-than-you human being you care for (in any capacity) as well as pets DO count. ❀️😸🀘❀️

Eric with his dad, Albert 🧑 Happy Father's Day 2026!

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Albert Caravello (as well as Eric's mother, Connie) in the mid-90's, when my husband and I made a pilgrimage from Maryland to New York to visit the memorabilia store they owned at the time...we also went to Eric's gravesite. It was surreal on every level. I had aspired to be their daughter-in-law and I outright told them so. To have them both smile and laugh and hug me was previously something in a dream ~ just like meeting their son had been. They are all reunited now on the next plain and may they all rest in peace...I am eternally grateful to them all for their kindness and patience with me in our respective meetings. πŸ™πŸ§‘πŸ™

*HAPPY FATHER'S DAY*

Rockin'f Japan plea follow-up...SUCCESS with securing scans! β€οΈπŸ€˜πŸ€β€οΈ

Very special and unlimited THANKS to u/inxxane who responded to the plea I posted in multiple subs, including r/visualkei. I have their blessing to share here. πŸ™β€οΈ I was a little bit off with the timeline and the piece actually appeared in the May 1986 No. 127 issue of Rockin'f....it was not in 1987 as I had originally thought....

I will remove the original ISO post since this is now considered "case closed".... 😸

Live in Pasadena June 1983 ⨳ Unreleased track title debate!

I have seen the title as both "Ain't Gonna Lose" and "I Won't Lose"...not sure which is correct. Anyone have firm info?

Apparently this song was only played live twice, both occasions a few months apart in 1983 ~ this video footage being one of them. There is an audio only track out there of the other performance. I personally like the overall sound and vibe of this song much better than Reach for the Sky...would love to hear a clean studio demo!

Any OG Old Schoolers on this sub have issues of Rockin'f from the 80's?? (Looking for specific pages from a specific issue...) 😬

Admittedly this is VK adjacent but I keep coming up empty with searches so I figured I would widen the net here, in the hopes someone might so much as have a morsel.....

I came across this auction on Mercari....my justification with posting here is that Ratt and Western glam in general inspired a TON of early VK artists. Much to my chagrin, the item "cannot be purchased" in/from the U.S. I honestly just want full, clean scans of these pages. Reverse image search has not helped me in the least, and I have searched other auction sites with no success. I unfortunately do not know what specific issue of Rockin'f this piece appeared in but it would have been in 1987. Yeah...I know that's going waaaaayyyyy back....most likely the majority of users on this sub weren't even born yet when I was turning 21. 😸

Are there any collectors out there who happen to have issues of Rockin'f going back that far and that is inclusive of this feature??? πŸ₯ΊπŸ€ž Any assistance at all would be very much appreciated. πŸ™

Has anyone witnessed Stephen's foray into acting and the 2002 film CAMP UTOPIA?

I have never seen it, only the trailer (link below)...and that alone erred on the side of πŸ˜¬πŸ˜’....would love to hear a review or just some simple thoughts from any fans who took the time to dive into this. Apparently it is available for "rent" from Amazon Prime for a whopping $1.99.... 😸

Found a photo I took of my husband with Warren and Stephen on a random Pinterest fan page 😸😬

Warren taking Ratt Gang too seriously and what his bicep has to do with anything, I don't know, BUT this Pinterest page also links back to Tumblr...neither my husband nor I had anything to do with the posting of this. 😸 I am not on any socials but hubby is active on Facebook...all he could figure was that someone he is connected to lifted it from there. (Hell, a photo of me with Eric Carr that he posted on FB also ended up on a random Pinterest page, and that was long before I got involved with Reddit and put it out there myself, soooooo....it's the way of the world these days.) In any case, this was a total gag to be meandering about Pinterest and having this jump out at me out of nowhere!

I took this photo ~ date was August 6 1998 in the parking lot of long-since defunct nightclub Daytona's in Pasadena, Maryland. A CVS sits on the property now. And yes, there is a second photo of me that my husband took but it's not very flattering (just me being vain).

We deliberately arrived very early that night because I insisted on getting to the front of the stage (you know, Warren and all....) ~ we were in awe to find Warren and Stephen hanging out in the parking lot when we rolled up. There was no one else around and they graciously spent some time with us when they otherwise could have easily told us they did not want to be bothered. It was my first time meeting either of them and I was especially all aflutter around Warren. 😸❀️

Warren was the SWEETEST. Very laid back, warm, unaffected, easy to speak with. He was blown away when I asked how his kids were doing ~ they were both in grade school at the time. He said he had actually just called home to check in before he and Stephen came outside, and they were in the middle of doing homework. 😸 Stephen was nice and we had a decent conversation but it was a totally different vibe with him. He had acquired a few more tattoos that I was unaware of and had never seen in photos. When I asked him about them, his response was, "I gotta keep covering my tracks...." or something to that effect. I was like, "OH." although the statement honestly did not fully register with me. Years later it made total sense when I read his book. 😬 Our time got derailed when 2 big-boobed blondes rolled up and they immediately commanded Pearcy's attention. *shocker* πŸ˜’ Warren didn't give a fuck; he just started playing his guitar...

The show was awesome...and yeah, I did make it to the front of the stage. 😁 They played very tight and were spot-on as a 4-piece ~ Blotz on drums, Robbie Crane on bass, Warren as sole guitarist although Stephen also played on a few songs. They previewed Over the Edge and Luv Sick from the self-titled that would be released about a year later. Both songs went over very well with the crowd and they are still top tracks for me from that album.

To get a sense of that dynamic and if you have never seen the quartet incarnation of the band, here is a full show from a few months earlier (in October 1997), in a similar-sized venue...in Illinois...birthplace of Warren. And me. 😸😁
