Warren Wednesday🔥Paisley Power and Groovy Goodness✌️
If anyone has other shots of Warren is this fabulous retro-cool shirt, please share! ✌️❤️ Oh, and I may or may not have cropped Juan out of Slide 2...no disrespect, of course, but you know.... 😬😸

From the memorabilia box.... Mementos from Poison's 2002 Hollyweird Tour with Faster Pussycat, Winger, and Cinderella opening. I was especially excited about seeing Faster Pussycat as I had missed out on shows at the height of the era, for any number of reasons. At that time the Poison tour was announced, I had no idea Brent had returned for a while...thought he was *adorable* back then, so that was an added bonus for me especially for this being my first time seeing them...finally!
Post-set, my friend and I went out the concessions area...when we came out of the ladies room, there was Brent in the middle of everything ~ still in his stage wear, still *adorable*, meandering amongst the people, handing out the postcards shown (the reserve side in Slide 2 is actually a sticker). My friend noticed him first, but she was not well-read on the band at all...this show was basically her first exposure to them. She just nudged me and said, "Isn't that one of the Faster Pussycat guys?" I thought she was being sarcastic but sure enough...I was gooped and gagged! He was very kind and quiet...when I asked for his autograph, he initially was going to sign the postcard but I thought it was too cool to be obliterated, so I asked him to sign the address panel from my Ticketmaster order instead. No photo evidence of the meeting, however, as this way proceeded cell phones and I otherwise did not have a traditional camera on me...but, at least I got something. 🤘❤️
Going through yet another memorabilia box buried in my guest room closet...I totally forgot I had these...I actually have zero recollection of buying them. And I guess I only bought this one pack? I don't know. 😬 I obviously must have chewed the gum, and I have no clue what I did with the stickers ~ I will probably find them on one of my old journal notebooks, which are all buried in another box in another closet. (Yeah...I still have all that shit...) 😸😸 I am including the shot of the back of the package just for fun....all that sugar Sugar SUGAR and the whopping price point of 40 CENTS! 🫨😸 What can you get for that these days???
Ebay listings are interesting....complete sets (including the stickers) in display format (NOT in package or "new in box") range anywhere from $50 to $200....
Thanks Chrome and Pinterest, but you're about 5 years late with this pop-up message on my laptop....I started getting lost in the hide sauce in 2021. 😸 To the community in general, though, there are so many "I'm new to VK!" posts on this sub and we all start somewhere as fans, whether it be of just one band/artist or several. (For me, my VK scope is limited to hide/X Japan and The GazettE.) Anyone out there who gets that first taste of something/someone that resonates with them then sets forth on the journey to find more knows all too well that pop-ups like this are, well, exhilarating but dangerous...
Also referred to as the “Alien” in the WeRock x Rockin’f hide Book (Slide 7); seen in performances of Scars from the Dahlia Tour Final as well as The Last Live (which I still have not watched in its entirety…it remains too emotional for me). I find the “hide’s comment” from Pinky Promise (Slide 6), “Try drawing the alien from the album ‘PSYENCE’ cover, using any technique you like,” very curious ~ I always thought that thing was just a skeleton…like a keychain you would find for a dollar at a CVS during Halloween. But hey ~ if it was an alien in hide’s world, then so be it. Skelalien. 😸👽💀 I was also reminded of the rendering that appears in the Psyence album booklet, on the page with the lyrics to Damage and LEMONed I Scream (Slide 9).
Random aside with Slide 8...I am guessing hide did not acquire permission (or did not bother asking for permission) for product placement of the two items on the left which are turned just enough to obscure their respective labels. All I can discern from the top left item is perhaps the word "chewable"...and MAYBE the blue container below it is cocoa powder, if I had to pull from the "oa" alone. I don't know. And was Casper the Friendly Ghost impaled?? 😬👻
Scavenger hunt! Can anyone find the slight flaw within this article? (Mini-hint: It's on the second page.)
I still love the *adorable* shot of Warren and Kathy! My husband actually met her back in 1991 in New York City, when Warren was participating in an event honoring Frank Zappa. He said she was very kind and a delight to speak with....I think he still has a photo with her somewhere.
On a related note....I have been searching tirelessly for this online and keep coming up empty. Does anyone else remember Warren doing an interview for Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine? I believe it was sometime in 1987 or 1988 (not certain)...the feature photo with the piece was a black-and-white shot of him and Kathy, where they were lying on a bed together and she was in a black corset and chauffer's cap get-up....a Joan Collins in The Bitch kind of thing. I remember being all agape in the middle of my local magazine shop as I had never seen sweet, innocent Warren (!) in a scenario like that. 😸🤯😸 I regrettably did NOT by the magazine, however...I only had enough cash on me to buy one, and one of the big rock publications of the time had a pin-up of Eric Carr that I could not resist. That damn issue of Interview always stuck in my mind, though....I unfortunately do not even remember who was on the cover so I cannot reserve search from there. I think I found that shot of Warren and Kathy online only once but it was many years ago....it seems to have since disappeared. Anyone know what I am talking about ~ or even better, actually HAVE that magazine???? ANY information at all to validate my memory would be appreciated. 🙏😸
Flairing this as "Entertainment" because I am having a giggle over the memory as I am sorting through some old photos. This shot is from June 2012, when my husband and I went to an 80's Prom at a local bar/club for the first time. We would patronize a few more over the years...for anyone who has never been to one, GO ~ they're a blast! Obviously my better half decided to rep Bon Jovi, and the JT shirt I had just purchased from eBay a couple of months prior. It was a must-have and I was also trying to atone for all my OG t-shirts (official or not) that are long-since gone, for any number of reasons. I still have it...but, it has been become battle worn and a victim of snags from my keycard lanyard for work (yes, I have made the thing "business casual" on many occasions). It definitely needs to be replaced....it is beyond the point of patch repairs.... 😬 I'm sorry, John...I guess I literally wore you out....no disrespect.... 🙏
Eric with his mom, Connie...may they both rest in peace. 🙏 Bittersweet on so many levels for me, especially since I had aspired to be this woman's daughter-in-law...and I outright told her so the one time I met her. 😸❤️ She and Eric's father, Albert (may he also rest in peace), could not have been kinder or more gracious.
The smiles with this shot are 1) how adorable is Eric with that scruffy-scruff going on (and that is typically not necessarily a "thing" for me...despite my own husband rocking it the majority of the time) and 2) I admit to loving that retro-cool throw pillow....it would easily fit into my decor. 😸❤️
**HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY**
This post is to partially make amends for an error in the Army Panther post. I appended to the text on that one but I could not edit the photo gallery. The image of the doodles and master/slave stickers I had miscredited to the Army Panther ~ I admittedly got muddled because of the layout with the 2 guitars in the Closet Collection book (Slide #2 here...it is easy to see how that mistake could be made) and I had honestly forgotten associated details from Pinky Promise as well as the WeRock x Rockin'f hide Book.
There are TOO MANY photos of hide with this guitar that I love...admittedly the hardest part for me when pulling this together was choosing one as the opening slide...but I shall certainly not complain if something like that is the most difficult decision of the day (or any day for that matter). 😸❤️✌️
I personally enjoy this album very much, and it is unfortunate that it did not get more attention at the time. I liked the Vicious Delite project as well but not nearly as much as this ~ I thought Vertex was the much stronger industrial genre offering between the two. Any thoughts, opinions, random musings?
Still doing some photo organization etc. after 5 years of fandom 😸 (does it ever end, really??)...this particular shoot of hide's from way back in the indie/Blue Blood days remains as one of my top faves of all time, and I felt compelled to give the Army Panther guitar some love and attention. It became battle-scarred over the years, that is for sure!🤘😸 The feature shots and commentary from hide's guitar supervisor Takayuki Hyogo are from the Closet Collection, Pinky Promise, and WeRock x Rockin'f hide Books, respectively.
*EDIT/ADDENDUM* Updating to admit a mistake in the photo gallery and to extend my apologies. Reddit will not allow me to edit the photo selection so I cannot remove it, but I boo-boo'ed with Slide #4 which depicted hide's infamous doodles and the MASTER/SLAVE stickers. This work was actually on the back of the AMOEBA guitar, *not* the Army Panther. I admittedly got muddled since both guitars are on the same page in the Closet Collection book, and in my haste I credited the image to the wrong guitar. Hey ~ it was like 6:00 AM here in the States when I created the post...I guess I should have finished drinking my coffee first. 😬😸 Please forgive the error. I intend on following up with a separate post featuring the Amoeba to give it proper credit.
Making Warren Wednesdays a thing. 😸🤘😸 Found these shots on Tumblr....I have otherwise never seen them before and do not know the original source. I initially thought Shot #2 was mistagged as Warren ~ could pass as Richie Sambora at a quick glance, in my opinion.
The title on this clip says 1988 but this was actually the 1985 MTV Video Music Awards. Stephen and Aimee Mann ('Til Tuesday) presented the Viewers Choice Award. Go to approximately 1:39:45 here:

I remember watching the awards in real time that year...I clearly remember taping John Taylor and Andy Taylor presenting the Video Vanguard Award to Russell Mulcahey (I'm an OG Duranie 😸😁), and I am positive I taped Stephen's segment as well...I would have been extremely remiss if I did not. He looks so nervous! 😸
The one opportunity I had to see Ratt in the Cellar days was when they were opening for Billy Squier in 1984...rant in this r/hairmetal thread about how that opportunity was squandered... I may or may not still be pissed 👿😸...

I would eventually make up for it with the Invasion tour and beyond. To note:
A moment of silence for the Capital Centre a/k/a U.S. Air Arena before it was demolished🙏....so many fantastic concert memories there! Merriweather Post Pavilion is alive and VERY well after a shitload of upgrades...they still won't pave the goddamn parking lot off Broken Land Parkway, though... 👿
Inspired by u/DarthNarcissa's post asking for details on the swag. 😸 Between these 2 shots, I believe hide wore it first in 1994....my understanding of the live clip I grabbed the shot of KoHey from was 1995 or later. I am otherwise not very familiar with Sleep My Dear, outside of KoHey being misidentified as hide in many photos I have come across in my 5 years of hide/X Japan fandom.
