I am learning to knit (teaching myself) and am a long term crocheter

Hey guys!

I'm starting to teach myself to knit and the picture if my first ever successful project knitting with some cheap extra yarn I had. I've crochet pretty heavily for years (probably close to 10 years) and years ago, I tried to teach myself to knit and I just wasn't getting it. I kept getting so frustrated. Anywho, I refound my knitting needles in a craft tote I had and decided to try it again. I do crochet A LOT and I am very quick with it. I say that because I feel like knitting is so much slower than crochet! Is that just my lack of experience or is it overall a slower process? It just seems like a lot more hands movements for less progress. Obviously I'm still learning how I like to hold and whatnot but didn't know what others who do both thought. Do you use less yarn over all? I've met more crocheters than knitters so I wanted to ask the knitting crew. Also, does anyone have any tips for a beginners you wish you knew? Thanks everyone and happy stitching!

My game keeps crashing 😭

Idky but the opening of the game (that you can skip) crashes my game if I dont skip it. I love this game even though I'm horrible at it. Does anyone else have this problem? All the in game animations do fine. My CP can play rdr2, hogwarts legacy, stray... all sorts of high demand games but this is the only one that struggles

Cursive vs. Print

I've always been curious what people think of my handwriting. When I was young, I used to purposely change my handwriting every so often so I will say because of that, I don't feel my handwriting is as consistent as I'd like. My normal handwriting is normally a mixture of cursive and print but the older I get, the more cursive it is (it's just so much easier on the hand to not pick it up lol) how bad do you think my handwriting is or are there things that you like? I will say, no matter what, I will not write a cursive b. A regular b in cursive font is prettier and easier to make out. So if you see that and say "that's not cursive" yes, I know. I just don't write them in cursive.

Does anyone else always use foundation single crochet instead of chains?

I literally never use a chain anymore if I can help it. I will only use a chain if I can't find another way with that pattern to use some sort of foundation (normally single crochet). I quite literally never make blankets anymore with a chain. My reasonings are: it's stretchier, looks better and I never lose track of if it's twisted or not. Does anyone else use this? I hardly ever find any patterns that don't start in chains. I also always use standing double crochet instead of chain 2 or 3 for new rows. I'll still chain 1 for a single crochet row. Anyone else?
