For a zombie apocalypse?

I’ve had almost all of the USA made small production knives but this one takes the cake for quality. My only knock on it is that it’s a little heavy for an EDC. The action is incredible with how it feels and sounds. The machining is unlike anything I’ve seen maybe other than Shirogorov.

Been playing around with anodizing and laser etching.

Both are great knives for different tasks but the CR Backpacker is like a work of art. I have around 15 fixed blades but they honestly don’t compare to the beauty and quality of the backpacker. If I had to choose one it would be that. REK will probably get more use since it’s easier to conceal and is super slicey.

I just learned how to anodize and have been doing plain scales till tonight. I anodized the scales completely, and then sanded off the top surface to reveal the pattern beneath.

Grabbed some Flytanium titanium scales and titanium tritium ball cage. Anodized the scales myself. Waiting on a lightweight spring and ceramic bearing to add later.

Love my CruWear Manix and hope this steel is as good as they say. Happy 4th everyone.

Picked this up recently as my second Shirogorov behind one of the cheaper and smaller Neon ones. The milling and precision between Shirogorov and Chris Reeves is legendary. It’s a little too big for my liking but can’t stop looking at it.
