Are they even trying?

What do you reckon, clueless, or stitched a battledress label onto service dress?

Even used ai to generate the description.

Bd repro colour comparison

Has anyone done a colour comparison between the different companies repro battledress? I can't find anything online.

Basically just need to know if the sof trousers I've had to order will match the wpg blouse I nabbed on Ebay 😅

Which is better if there is no alternative.

Soldier of fortune 1937 battledress

Epic militaria 1937 battledress.

I tried on my current sof stuff today and my trousers are too tight, and my blouse is too big. I need my uniform for the weekend of the 15th, so ordering one of the expensive custom made uniforms is probably out of the question, so I just need to know which is the best of the worst I guess.

What's everyone's o to dubbin for their ammo boots? So far I've just been using cheap black Polish to keep them protected, and I keep meaning to get some decent dubbin to really protect them.

What does everyone use? There are loads of different brands, all looking like they have different ingredients, some even coloured to match the leather.

Can someone please help me identify this hat? I've had it for years but never been sure what it is.

Google says its a ww1 British officers hat or service cap, but I can't find anything about the logo inside, so I don't know if it's a repro or not, or whether it's a good one if it is.

There's also a wooden ring in the top of the hat to keep it's shape. Should that be there?

Afternoon all!

As a Brit, I've got a bit of an embarrassing question to ask.....

How do you, as a British soldier between 1939 and 1942, "brew up".

Now, I know tea bags weren't common, and they would have been issued loose leaf tea and probably brewed it in a mess tin, but was it then strained out into cups, or just poured out and you put up with bits in your tea?
I know the tea blocks existed, but I'm specifically asking about 39-42, when they didn't.

So, working on a friends utr45 and apparently it's a little underpowered. (He has my chrono so I can't check myself).

I have two spare aeg springs in my box of random parts, one shorter than the stock one, and one longer.

Which, if any, would likely be stronger than the stock spring? There are no markings or anything on any of them.

I know it has a quick change spring so it won't be difficult to test later, but if I can get it sorted now, I don't have to spend time on it later and I can try and get my co2 hi capa working instead.
