Customer advocates, what do you think about the Hype Train?

For those of you who don't know. Carvana is rolling out a new program where the customer will be receiving a text with your photo, a bio, and a link to watch your hauler on a live map.

A selfie of you and the car must be uploaded for every vehicle you deliver. There are busy days where I've had 4 deliveries. That means 4 selfies I'll be sending to 4 random people throughout the day, all year if this program is implemented.

I'm sure you can see where this might make someone uncomfortable. There are days I don't feel great and self conscious about how I look. We all have sick days, depressed days, really hot days where I'm sweaty and feel disgusting, or freezing cold days in the winter. Having to send someone a selfie i don't know, and them having that photo of me forever, really makes me uncomfortable.

Curious how the women feel about this too, having to send selfies to random men buying a car and then showing up to their house. The safety aspect is kinda crazy, because we really don't know who we're delivering the car too. Sorry to say but guys can be creepy.

I know the intention is to build hype for the customer and it's supposed to make the interaction seem more personable, but it just seems like too much to take a selfie for every task.

From what I know, this will only be starting at 3 locations, and go nationwide if they see better numbers in customer satisfaction.

Anyway I'm just curious what other advocates thoughts are on this? Thanks for reading.

One Of Those Days

[Medium](https://medium.com/@ThisGuyPax)

everyone seems on edge,
might be one of those days,
everyone wants to test me,
might be one of those days,
where I’m the enemy.

Not as bad as it may seem,
might be all in my head,
might be false karma.
Made me crazy,
made me unbearable, I know,
made me… I know, pushed it down.

Sealed my soul,
emptied my tears,
and tucked away my fears.

Another goal,
another swing,
another ideal to care for,
wish for, die for, and focus for.

Dedicated my life to a 401k,
constantly cautious of HR,
muffled noises, no barking,
muffled noises, no barking,
seizure for a moment of leisure.

Upward motion sickness,
let myself fall again,
living out my means,
living out my house,
living out my fears again.

Strike my back if I overthink,
but be prepared for the worst.
Short fuse, sharper shooter.
Falsehoods and flagged obsessions.
Watch how the shape in the mirror shifts.
Convoluted explanations, to an endless set of questions.

I shouldn’t try, I shouldn’t cry, I shouldn’t worry.

I should suffer, I should struggle, I should be grateful.

Not so funny, I know,
might be happy with it though,
might be the trauma,
might be the cracked cranium.
Terrible, I know,
might be a temperamental mental case,
might be incidental, I know,
might be but it’s all the same to me.

So when I think about the answer to the question,
where everyone seems to be on edge,
where everyone seems to test me,
where I seem to be the enemy.
I gotta be honest, it might be,

I’m frustrated with me.

Exceptionalism

Medium

Exception’s contempt,
out of sync only given at the brink,
proven to be pushed beyond these four walls,
and ran at an unreasonable pace.

Give My Life.

Idle rot sets in the bone,
born with desire but nothing is forever,
part of human nature is the willingness to strive,
but it eventually dies.

Gave Their Life.

Fresh perspectives,
favored and savored,
transferable to the vulnerable,
whoever walks my avenue over the night,
let realization set in, familiarity is misery.

Gave It Life.

Exceptionalism is gained,
crafted on good graces,
improved by cloudy days,
on a will of my own,
yet carried by a team,
one vision uncertain,
yet determined.

Gave It Everything.

In the end,
will the top feel unfit?
will I have married for structure?
will I have sold my morals for power?
will I have found humility only at the end of my life in pursuit of external exceptionalism.
