Replacing the heater core connectors right now with the metal ones on my 03 1500, how do I get this connector from the inlet off? I don’t want to break anything if I don’t have to in case I have to reinstall the old connectors for whatever reason. Looks like that plastic band is holding the hose on
Some guy let his cart run into my car at the store and dented the fender of my car, I didn’t really care and was going to just tap it out and tell him don’t worry about it. Just looked again this morning and the paint actually cracked, now Im sure the fender is gonna rot out over time. How do I go about getting this fixed? I don’t want to send this guy a bill for $1000 if possible
Clay barred my truck the other day and didn’t realize it would get so much shit and grime off the paint. I used a foam cannon to lubricate and spent some extra time on the parts I showed in the photos, planning on polishing it in the next few weeks. Any recommendations on pads I should use? Going to get the polisher on sale at harbor freight next week and order some of the 3D polish.
The blue clay bars I got on amazon were like $10, didn’t take too long and I highly recommend them if you’re thinking about doing something similar!
Had crazy water spots all over the glass of my truck, all the before pics are after cleaning as best as I could. 0000 steel wool and meguires ultimate compound got 90% of the water spots off. Will probably go back and hit a couple areas again in the future but it all came out great. Gotta give my arm a rest lol
I’m trying to bleed my abs system and the scanner isn’t letting me do it due to a C0291 code, saying I have to clear it before I can bleed the system. Obviously I don’t want to just clear it and damage something while bleeding the abs.
No lights on the dash at all, didn’t even know I had these codes until I plugged the scanner in and ran a full scan. Google says it means a connection loss to the brake control module. Anyone run into this before?
Edit: cleared the code restarted the truck, code didnt come back, bled the abs system twice, and now I have a C0265 lol. Still no abs or service brake system lights on the dash though.
Replaced both front calipers on my 1500 yesterday and holy fuck getting the hose bracket bolt out literally took up half of the total time I spent on the calipers. Had to bang off the washer under the bolt head, pry the bracket up, chisel it out with a screwdriver, and cut the old hose line.
Still have a spongey brake pedal after bleeding all of the calipers and putting in new fluid, gonna try to bleed the abs module and see if that helps
