I'm a 2026 CS graduate currently looking for a software internship or full-time role.

I've been placed at Cognizant for the GENC role, but onboarding is expected between Feb–May 2027. Until then, I want to gain some industry experience.

I don't have professional IT experience yet, but I'm currently working on Java, Spring Boot projects and DSA, mainly targeting Java/backend roles.

I've been applying through LinkedIn, Naukri and other off-campus platforms, but haven't been able to get interview calls so far.

I'll also be moving to Bengaluru in late August, so I'm particularly interested in opportunities there.

For those who were in a similar situation: what worked for you in getting your first internship/job or at least an interview?

Seniors: If you know of any suitable Java/Spring Boot fresher or internship openings, I'd really appreciate a referral.

I am fresher .I have applied for a job through Referral, I got the referral mail at today yesterday 4:00 AM to apply

I submitted the application at 10 PM yesterday.( I have no prior work experience) . So I didn't mention my work experience in my resume.

As soon as I submitted the application, I got a rejection mail from the company.

So the shortlisting through referral isn't guaranteed?or am I too late to submit?

I’m thinking of getting Cursor Pro ($20/month) and wanted some honest feedback before buying.

My use case:

Learning Spring Boot deeply

Building real backend projects

Doing deployment

Using AI to understand and explain code (not just generate blindly)

I’m not looking for “vibe coding”, I actually want to learn and improve.

My main doubts:

1. Is Cursor Pro actually worth it for this kind of usage?

2. How long does the $20 usage last in real scenarios?

3. Roughly how many prompts or chats do you get per month?

4. Do you hit limits quickly if you use Claude/GPT models?

Would really appreciate real experiences (especially from people building projects, not just experimenting).
