Зупинка Ринок
Sometimes I don't understand placement (or lack of) tram stations (for example teatralna) or Rynok. Sure, it's a two-minute walk to Ruska, but is there a particular reason why trams don't stop at rynok when going west?

Dobroho, border question no. 455682.
This time, I wasn't able to secure a train ticket from Lviv to Přemyšl, And after spending 36 hours on bus when I took the bus over border that one time, I want to get the Shehyn, cross on foot, board the train on Polish side.
I looked the schedules on website ticket(dot)bus(dot)com(dot)UA, and most of the marshrutts show that the depart from the AS Zachidna, as shown in the screenshot.
Is it true? I wouldn't like to go all the way there with by backpacks and wait for nothing.
I want to leave Lviv (well I don't want to, but I'll have to) around 14:00, arriving Shehyn at 1600ish, having a rough time on the border and maybe a dinner in Přemysl before the train departure at 2115ish.
I would be very glad for any advice on this matter.
And I apologise once again for this millionth question about the border.
Hi, this thing was on my mind for a long time.
I started visiting Ukraine before the wore, made friends, and when I visit during wartime, sometimes, my friends give me a shevron as a gift. My female friend who served in the International legion, also gave me one.
I always wear at least one given to me on my backpack here, in Prague, out of respect for my friends who are defending Ukraine, and to keep them close when I am not Ukraine. Also so that Ukrainians who are here know that I care.
And also so that if one czech person sees it when I am on the trqm and it makes them decide they could send some money on zbirs and other campaigns, it makes my day a bit better.
But I am wondering about the legality, when in Ukraine. I don't want to break any laws, therefore, I don't visit Ukraine with patches of active military units. Florks? Sure, Tryzub? I don't think that that should present any major problem.
I am wondering on how is the law looking on shevrons of actual military units and their emblems. In Czechia, it's prohibited to wear military distinctions if you don't have them. No two dots, no three stars, no nothing if it could be mistaken for a military distinction.
And I am not asking only about law, but also about decency.
If commenters wrote that it's not prohibited by law to wear shevrons from units you're not from, but from respect for your friends, would it be frowned upon? "You don't wear this if you didn't serve!" Or such.
My spoken Ukrainian is better than my written, therefore I think I would be able to explain it that that's my way to keep my friends close, but if it's considered indecent, I absolutely respect that, And I'll stick to flork patches not to cause any trouble.
Sorry for a long post, слава Україні! 🇨🇿❤️🇺🇦
I visited Ukraine before 2022, but since then, I travelled deeper. Київ, Одеса, І-Ф, Кам'янець Подільський, Вінниця, Тернопіль, but If some city feels almost as home, which is Prague, it's Львів. I love every second I spend there, I love the friendly people, I love that the centre is not open to cars (or that it's more watched over rather than in Prague) I adore the stometrivka, when I get out of the vokzal and get on the tram, I just have this cozy feeling that I am in a city, in which I feel absolutely great. I love to stroll through the north, around Tram depo, stop by at the local кафе, I like it that the Rynok is not a tourist trap as Prague centre is.
Walk through Stryiski park or chilling at І-Ф Park makes my day. The cuisine, if it's Galician, Hucul, if it's bohrač at Kilikija, or if it's Georgian Chačapuri at the same street, Virmenska, going to craft beer pubs at Kryva Lipa, it all feels so great.
Going for a kanapka to Nadija, or to the bistro at Teatralna...
I could write countless paragraphs on how much I love Lviv, how I miss every moment when I am not there.
One thing that I miss, and that's the question I would like to ask, is a recommendation for a thing that would be close to a Czech "Hospoda".
Hospoda, for Czechs, is a place with no fancy beers, not twenty taps, with different styles, it's plain and simple. Cheap Lager, stronger beer, sometimes a dark one too. It might serve hot meals, sometimes, it's just pickled sausage or cheese. The main thing is you can sit down, read your book, or just write your notes, you don't necessarily have to order any food, you're just there by yourself. And unlike a кафе, there is a lavatory.
Closest to this, from my point of view, would be Bigos or Zolota Halba. Or 100 Renthen, even though it's in a basement.
I do understand that even through my expressed passion for Lviv, you might not want to disclose the places where you don't want tourists to just go in and swarm the place.
However, if you can think of such a place, not necessarily in the center, (I don't mind taking the tram or bus or trolleybus or marshrut to other parts of Lviv, contrary, I would like to see the most of Lviv that I can) I would welcome your tips.
Thank you in advance, I might be scheduled next week for a material delivery, so I just might be able to try out the spots quite soon.
Слава Україні! 🇨🇿❤️🇺🇦
Apart from my vynil collection, I have something close to 200 GB of music on my disc. I would like to see what is the actual share of genres, what years are most prevalent, (based on ID3 data) without making a spreadsheet for that. Just some graphs, percentages, that would be absolutely enough. Tunesweeper is close to this, but regarding genres, it only takes the top genres, while ommiting the rest.
Is there such a software? Any advice is appreciated!
To mods: I saw the disclaimer, wrote you a message, didn't get a reply, I hope this post doesn't violate the sfotware disclaimer.
Well after some 12 visits to Lviv during wartime, I know where to stay, where to drink, where to buy books in Ukrainian, where to get tasty ribs, nice boršč, where to go when it's hot, where to go for a nice kanapka and kvas, the city became my closest thing to my heart after Prague, where I was born and raised.
But I still miss some guidance, therefore, could I please ask for recommendations for chicken wings restaurants? Kantona and Buffalo are both good, but I was wondering if you could share with me some places I don't know. As long as I can get there on tram and walking a bit, I feel like that's the range I am looking for.
I am travelling solo, so no need to worry that I'll bring twenty loud tourists with me.
I would like to have a nice wings lunch the day after I deliver a car for an associate who'll bring it to the frontline.
Cлава України. 🇨🇿❤️🇺🇦

So, as FB is broken and some functions can be done better through browser, rather than the mobile app, I saw a strange thing today.
Past couple of days, I received emails with six number codes to verify me. I didn't make the prompts.
Today, I tried to use mobile browser from my phone and while I run Android, FB app showed that the prompt was sent from a Linux system from a town 30 Kms from where I am now. It seems strange, the GPS not locating me properly could be understood, but what lights the red light in my brain is the different OS, as FB tends to be quite punctual on this.
Anyone knows what this shit is about?
Any help appreciated!

Hi, I myself went to Uni to study philosophy and religionistics - far from studying physics for sure, but through my passion for astrophysics, I attended, back when I was in Grammar school, to an extra curriculum course, which spanned two years, at the Prague Stefanik's observatory.
Astrophysics and cosmology were my favourite fields and since I met very interesting tutors with whom I stayed in touch, I was able to keep my finger on pulse in their fields - LIGO, JWST observations.
Then again, in the current informational climate, I find it hard to keep up with the new things - and since seeing Oppenheimer, I also realised that some things we take for granted, or some paradoxes that still lack explanation, are a century old stuff - quite wild if you ask me.
I also find the plethora of popularisational material confusing. While PBS Space Time (correct me if I am wrong) is not necessarily sensationalist, they take all papers on face value and to fill their weekly video quota, they take speculative theories to a 20 minute video, which doesn't really say how speculative some claims may be.
What I wanted to ask is what is currently the bleeding edge of scientific research, with regard to astrophysical cosmology and quantum physics?
Thanks in advance for your reply and have a nice day! :)
Dobroho, I think for the sake of clarity and since I know English better than Ukrainian, I would like to ask for a clarification about the collaboration between АТБ market and GSC on the Stalker Almanach.
Since I am coming to Lviv tomorrow and learning that said Almanach went out a week ago, I thought this would a sweet souvenir from my visit.
However, If I am correct, these almanachs are not available due to high demand? Are at least the cards to it available? And are the almanacs truly sold out? And if so, could I buy one from someone, who might have one extra? The re-sellers on eBay are already pumping the price through the roof.
Sure, if none of these possibilities are available, I'll buy a different book to be part of my growing library of Ukrainian literature (and next on my "to-read") book pile. If that's the case, would anyone have a tip for some hard-boiled, cyberpunk genre book?
