Friday night preview discussion

Catie looked sad and unhealthy to a shocking extent. Falling apart crying about abandonment, vomiting, shaking, twitching, alternating groaning and giggling, and the puffy face, I swear it was no different from an episode of Intervention. She's in a really bad shape. It's dire.

It's starting to look like Rașit may love Mallorie, but he loves her money too. I didn't know Mallorie has two jobs. She showed him her budget, he wants her to use her settlement money to send to Turkey. So the producers decided to dust off the prenup storyline. When she said prenup he looked at her like he was going to say "prenush? What is prenush ?"

A different view of Shekinah and how her behavior may have been caused by her upbringing.

Please consider my theory of how Shekinah's upbringing is a important motivator underlying her behaviors and reactions even long after she escaped.

Shekinah was raised in social isolation, and religious abuse. A cult is an in-group with fear and negative feelings about the out-group, and constant reinforcement about the in-group being morally superior to the out-group. Its positions are rigid and consist of declarations, not debate or discussion.

She may have left the cult, but the cult-like building blocks that shaped her childhood continue to affect her negatively especially when it comes to her interactions with the world and how she solves problems. I don't believe that she is conscious of any of this.

The cult trauma has saddled Shekinah with a very strict hierarchical view of people. She uses "low" a lot in her descriptors, like "low-vibrating human." That is the out-group. She has a coterie of baguette-adjacent friends who are probably considered "higher vibrating" and more worthy of consideration. That is the in-group.

In some ways, she is perceptive. She took note of Patrick's cunning misogyny, and it upset her. Patrick has a low opinion of women and she felt it personally - almost like a vague threat.

Having been raised in isolation, she lacks the natural instincts most of us have in navigating social situations.

While everyone was drunk and she was stone cold sober, she walked up to them not to debate ideas, but to neutralize the threat with rigid, slogan-length declarations as one would do as, say, a cult leader. It was not meant to be an exchange. The out-group threat (Patrick) against the in-group (women) needed to be exposed, and people would accept it like a revelation or prophecy and shun him.

A less traumatized person might have tested and networked that opinion of Patrick one-on-one, searching for the most effective arguments and convincing the group progressively, and maybe gathering extra unsight from others, and let the gossip mill take care of the rest. She would have gathered allies, but allies a foreign notion when you come from a cult with a single source of authority. Trying to get an ally against the leader will get you snitched and punished, while the snitch gets privileges.

If Thais would have let Shakinah speak she might have found out that Shekinah was trying to warn her in particular, even if through her peculiar cult survivor mannerisms. But Thais was feral in her physical explosion while Shekinah was wedged in and couldn't escape. She panicked. Shekinah got no one's sympathy because once again, she is totally inept at making alliances.

And the "go back to your country" offense? That's definitely the in-group vs out-group mentality. To make things worse she called Thais a whore.

And what was Shekinah's ultimate reaction to this whole mess? ESCAPE. In a cult, you either survive or escape. She escaped, and it worked out for her. So escape is her go-to solution. When chaos hits, she runs. Ask me how i know this... I escaped at 15.

So in conclusion, the less popular aspects of her personality may have deep, dark roots. From the outside, she looks in control and well put together, which gives expectations that her behavior will match. But it's just a front.

Pao and Thais on Between The Sheets

They start the segment expressing enthusiastic support for Kara, the whole Last Resort general vibe is that Kara can do whatever she wants it's her life and Guillermo should just shut up and get back with her already.

Ok so far, predictable.

But then... they start musing about doing porn with Kara, as a trio; a ginger, a blonde and a brunette.

My jaw dropped. Really? Pao and Thais are both up for riding ass-bleed dildos and licking them clean for some internet coin? Really??? REALLY????????

Were they gearing up for the inevitable consequences of being single moms? /s

Marissa and her mom: how is the daughter older than the mother???

Title for attention only.

This is about Sarper and Erbeggah on Last Resort.

Is it me or does he totally have the hots 🔥 for her 💋? He can't stop talking about her, and when he does, his eyes 👀 widen like 🍽 dinner plates, it's like he's looking at a red Lamborghini 🚗 full of women 💃 💃 💃 💃 💃 and an open bar 🍸 made of money 💰 in the trunk. I think he wants Rebecca to berate him into the best sex of his life. Maybe wear a strap on.

It's the only way i can explain his obsession.

White Cap

I bought it as White Cap but I suspect it's Gay Paree. Flowers are small and stems are lanky. It could be improved by breeding.

Madarin's Coat

Very upright and just the right height. It's covered with large flowers every year. Buds don't all mature at the same time which prolongs flowering.

Also a favorite!

Do Tell

The blooms opened this morning, you can see the different forms on the same plants. It's next to a blue spruce where the semi-shade helps slow down the fading of the pink color.

Peony Superior

It's one of my favorites. First one out to bloom this year. The plant has a beautiful habit and I love singles/Japanese as a rule.

How long will it take for Mido to realize that "New Orleans LA" doesn't mean that New Orleans is a suburb of L.A.?

In other news if I'm a movie director and an actor starts to sulk and give me the silent treatment because he has to shoot a scene a second time, I'll shitcan him immediately and black ball him for good measure.
