How do you manage brain fog and breaks between intense focus blocks in IT?
Hey everyone! Quick disclaimer upfront: this isn't about not having enough work to do—we all know IT is relentless and our brains are constantly running. This is purely about managing mental fatigue and taking effective breaks.
After long blocks of deep focus, I reach a point where my brain is fried and I just need to step away for a few minutes. The issue is how to spend that downtime. I usually default to opening YouTube or a quick browser game like poxel.io, but I get bored instantly and feel like I'm getting zero value out of the break.
How do you guys manage these decompression moments? What do you actually do during short breaks to properly recharge before diving back into work?
