I’m Not Okay (I Promise) - My Chemical Romance

Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov would have been fifteen when the album The Black Parade came out. Perfect for an emo era :)

FREE PIT TICKET AT GATE J

Hi guys! A nice lady at Gate J has a free pit ticket (friend couldn't make it). Come on over if you'd like it! She's in a black dress with sparkle cap sleeves and black tights.

(She doesn't have a reddit account, so I said I'd post for her)

Detroit Campers BEWARE (SA Trigger Warning)

I beg ya'll, please do not camp overnight by Comerica Park. A few months ago, someone I know was sexually assaulted by a fresh-out-of-prison gang member when camping overnight for an artist. And I don't want this to turn into a Detroit shit post because Detroit is a great city with great people, but sometimes we (myself included) just need to channel more common sense and less whimsy/fan-frenzy. Please at least wait until the sun rises. Even if you have a friend or a whole group of them. It is not worth the risk. Trust me. For so many fucking obvious reasons, but the less obvious ones are having to beg venue staff for camera footage for them to even believe you, police stuff, a hospital trip, more police stuff, and the worry of whether you'll even be able to make it back to the venue before doors, AND whether you'll even be able to enjoy the show. And no, sleeping in your car by the venue is not the safe alternative method. If you absolutely need to sleep in your car because of the way your travel plans are set up, then find a truck stop. OR go to one of the nearby casinos and hang out inside for the night. I think they might monitor the lots to make sure that people aren't sleeping there, but it is free parking.

Stay safe, ya'll. I can't wait to see the show with some of you on Friday! I'll be brining kandi making activities to pass the time while queuing. Don't forget to stay hydrated, plan your meals, and bring sunscreen if it's sunny!

Anyone Actually Spending $200+ on VIP Packages?

I am quite shocked by the price. In Chicago, regular GA tickets are $65 after fees and tax. VIP GA are $220 after fees and tax. That is practically a 240% markup. For a smaller midsize venue. I'm really happy that the non-VIP tickets were affordable and reasonably priced for the venue, but the VIP is a robbery. Other artists that do VIP packages for **arenas* only have a 100% markup (and yes, that only is doing a lot of heavy lifting 💀). If it included a meet and greet, then perhaps, but it's the standard VIP package of early entry and an undisclosed merch package (at least on AXS). It's normal for there to be a list of items included in the merch package, so I'm surprised there wasn't.

All in all, very poor value, and I'm wondering how many found it worth it and why.

New Ego Death Variant! 1,500 Copies

Already 600* sold so far!

*The counter is now below 500 - I would guess it's either because it was counting orders that were sitting in carts, or they're canceling those with more than 4 copies. Which is way too high. Should be 2 copies per customer max.

Screenshot of an actual interaction I just had with a customer service rep. I wanted to change my email for reasons (getting rid of the nonsensically named yahoo handle from 2008). I managed to create the new account, which included phone verification (the same phone on my old account). But they also wanted me to email them a picture of my state/gov photo ID. And given the Oracle/Palantir/etc. of it all, I wanted some assurance that it wouldn't be shared. They said no, but were a bit dodgy. Could not link an actual policy about it. When I asked if I could complete the account merge without the ID, I was told no and *just disconnected*. And it wouldn't give me another agent.

Since I was able to make the new account with the same phone number, I'm actually fine with not merging. I was trying to keep the agent online by saying I wanted to, but alas, fuckery.
