Just had my post removed for expressing thoughts of self harm. I was not aware that this level of censorship was present in this sub. Just wanted to let you guys know they are still censoring us HARD for our experience.
Haven’t been on here in forever. I still consider myself severe 5 years later. I am at my wits end. I am completely out of money and will be homeless in a few days. My family is somehow blaming me for this. I don’t live with them they live across the country. The way they’ve talked to me for the last 5 years is nothing Short of ignorant and atrocious. I have a suspicion they literally still don’t even believe me even after everything and all the evidence that’s came out and how severe I am. I was told today I’m an adult and need to “move forward”. I fucking hate them and will never speak to them again once this is over. Oooooh I cannot wait for that fucking day. Gonna write a nasty letter to those stupid fucking people and that’ll be that. Anyway once I get evicted I might jump off the nearest bridge or building. Haven’t decided yet. I live in the most expensive city in the country. It’s actually insane how isolated and alone I am though. No government programs will help me. Not even food stamps. I hate this fucking society. I wish I was literally any other nationality cause at least I wouldn’t be forced to be homeless after the government destroyed my life.
Just had my 3rd round for a large global medical device company as a senior product designer. That was on Friday. So I guess it’s been 3 business days. How long does it take now a days in your experience for a company to make a decision?

So I had an idea for a channel a while back. basically the theme is I'm stuck on a beautiful planet somewhere and I do diy scrappy builds and use my deck for different things for each video. Environmental monitoring, meshtastic, playing games by a fire, soldering, hacking stuff together in nature. On Mother’s Day no less I find this sub. Being estranged is such a huge part of who I am and the pain I carry. It is wonderful to find you all. Trying to refrain from my jealousy and pain of all the people that didn’t grow up with a selfish, neglectful mom that didn’t treat you like an annoying inanimate object they had to take care of. I shared the repair arm for my deck and got a lot of requests to share the ui details.
The ui is a ghost in the shell inspired operating system. “Major” the protagonist from the movie, is the Ai avatar and theme I designed it around. You can talk to her or tell her to open menu items and control the deck. I want to keep evolving what she can do. When you’re off grid she uses a phi 3 mini via ollama locally. The interface is a phosphorous green terminal aesthetic. Practically speaking I wanted it for anything off grid in nature, and anti surveillance. I designed all the components, bezels, fonts, image overlays and specs in a design system from scratch in figma. with an audit script for an LLm to animate micro animations. I fed a tokenized design system to generate pygame code.
What it can do:
Talk to major via Ai online or off.
Meshtastic LoRa for off grid comms.
Field radio mode
Esp32 sensor radar. (Set up nodes around your campsite and monitor motion)
Ambient modes like a fake fireplace.
A photo log( my favorite) that can identify what the picture is. Currently need to upgrade to nvidia jet to do this offline.
Retropie
And a status bar with date, time, CPU temp WiFi etc.
The boot sequence runs a diagnostic prompt before launching. The API is scoped and the device runs on a private network. Offline mode via ollama exists for when you don’t want to phone home at all.
Ideally I’d like to share this, have people flash it to their deck, change it, customize it and kind of just see it evolve. If not that’s cool too. Cheers
