Nemesis 8 thoughts?

Anyone else tried out the new divisions? VTK 42's tank tab is underwhelming but overall it is good (the recon Marder is a standout!)

71 YA ZAP has left 17 YA in the dust. If you are okay with being as slow as a snail your tidal wave of reservists + instructors can beat anything. The rocket SU 24 can delete any infantry squad.

Viability of other south american divs?

With tropic storm bringing some south american divisions into the fray, do the other south american military forces have a chance to feature? In my mind Ecuador, Peru, Chile & Argentina should have enough for a division. Ecuador & Peru had a smale scall war in 1981 and would have another in 1995. Argentina & Chile almost went to war in the early 80's though regime changes thankfully let tensions cool off.

I thought I'd do a quick highlight reel for some of the equipment each one has.

Ecuador (BLUE): Mountain infantry, Mk F3 155mm, Amx 13 (and some TAM?), M167 VADS, Jaguar, Kfir

Peru (RED): Naval Infantry, Fiat 6616, T 55's, Shilka, Mirage 2000, Su 22 (Sead?)

Chile (BLUE): Paratroopers, M 71 Soltam 155mm, HVMS Sherman, Amx 30, F 5E, Mirage 50

Argentina (RED): CH 47, Mechanised Infantry, the TAM tank in all of its variants, 35mm GDF, Roland 2, A 4 Skyhawk, Nesher

Argentina is the front runner due its massive build up in the 70's/early 80's but the other 3 still have enough to stand on their own 2 feet.

During the Cold War, did US National Guard divisions have pre designated deployment areas in case WW3 kicked off?

During the cold war US Army & Marine Corp divisions were expected to deploy to pre designated areas or theatres if the Soviets invaded. For example the 9th Motorised would go to Denmark, 2nd Marine Division to Norway etc. My question is did US National Guard divisions have expected deployment zones? Would some of them form a new corps or would they get attached to the existsing formations in West Germany and/or beyond?
