Literally crying because I've been having contractions for days and the doctors aren't doing anything

I (25F) am currently 36 weeks and 1 day pregnant with our rainbow baby. I started having contractions this past Wednesday evening, went to my OBGYN for a high risk visit on Thursday where they confirmed the contractions and sent me home, stayed home for a few days, started having very intense contractions yesterday evening, and was sent home from the hospital today because I'm not dilating. Last night at the hospital my BP was literally 163/119. I know they expect it to be high as I'm diagnosed with gestational hypertension, but I'm livid they sent me home.

I know they're going to schedule me to be induced this Sunday, which will be 37 weeks...but I don't think my baby is going to wait for that and quite frankly I'm really worried. She hasn't been as active as usual and I've been checking my BP very frequently today...the highest reading was 143/111 and the lowest was 116/93. I don't want to go back to the hospital if they're going to dismiss me again but I'm scared of what might happen if I don't deliver soon. I need my water to break ASAP. I need my cervix to start dilating. I'm absolutely distraught because I'm afraid of losing my baby again but I feel like these doctors are not taking my concerns seriously.

How can I actually tell if my water broke?

I know I keep thinking my water has broken but something weird just happened and I'm confused.

I stood up after using the bathroom and when I bent down to pull up my underwear there was a spurt of clear fluid that came from somewhere and I've looked to see if I maybe knocked something over or spilled something but there's nothing..anyway I cleaned it up and dried my legs off and it doesn't have a smell either? I still feel a trickle but maybe it's discharge so I'm laying down for a minute and waiting to see what happens when I sit up...obviously if it doesn't stop or if I end up soaked then I'll wake up my husband and go to the hospital but yeah...

Sorry for the run on sentences. I'm exhausted and anxious about my baby.

Anyone else struggling to process the idea that this thing in your womb is a whole other human?

I know it sounds weird. It feels weird. I'm about to be responsible for a whole other human being with her own thoughts and feelings and personality and I think that's absolutely crazy.

My niece is 2 and I'm watching her grow into who she's meant to be..she has so many big feelings. She's starting to talk in full sentences and ask questions with complex answers. She has likes and dislikes. Joy, anxiety, embarrassment, anger, sadness, fear, excitement....all wrapped up in this two foot tall human being.

I'm so excited to meet my own daughter and at the same time I'm afraid I'll somehow ruin her childhood because it's hard to comprehend that this child will eventually be an adult.

I don't understand why people are so weird about being induced

I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant after experiencing a loss last year. I have been in preterm labor multiple times in the last few weeks and the hospital has prescribed medication to stop the contractions so my baby girl can keep growing in utero. This baby is already so loved and wanted I can't wait to meet her and give her everything. I want this baby with every fiber of my being, and yet I am absolutely sick of being pregnant.

My body was not ready for this pregnancy. My mind wanted to be ready and yet it really wasn't either. The first trimester was a grueling, nauseating, anxiety-ridden experience. The second trimester was terrifying because we lost our previous pregnancy at 22 weeks and I was afraid we would lose this one too. I didn't think we would even reach the third trimester because I expected to either lose the baby or have her very prematurely.

At this point, I feel like I'm losing my mind. I told my family at my next appointment I plan to ask if I can be induced at 37 weeks because I am desperate for the finish line. Everyone immediately freaked out saying I should wait for her to come on her own and that induced labor hurts worse and somehow I'm sinning by taking things into my own hands...but I'm trying to maintain my sanity so my baby can have the best version of me as her mother.

I don't care if it hurts worse. I was induced at 22 weeks last year and I gave birth knowing my first baby had already passed. Induction is what my body remembers. If something happens and an emergency C-section is necessary, I have no qualms about it. I want my baby. I don't want to wait more than 37 weeks. This pregnancy has been overall healthy and I'm thankful for that but my body and mind are just done.

If you have had an easy pregnancy that you actually enjoyed, please be thankful

I am 30 weeks and 1 day in. I left the hospital threeish hours ago. They diagnosed me with Braxton Hicks and sent me home. I don't know how people make it all the way to 40 weeks. This hurts. My baby girl, who I desperately want to meet alive, is currently pressed HARD against both sides of my back and yet somehow she is also all the way down in my pelvis.

This baby girl is everything I want right now and I am carrying her as long as I possibly can and I am absolutely miserable. I haven't even met this child yet and I already love her so much I can't imagine not wanting to carry her to term. Even so, I wish I could skip to the day when I am holding my full-term, healthy baby. I love feeling her move and knowing she's okay. It just so happens that her movements are starting to cause excruciating pain and it feels like I'm dying 😭😭😭

I'm Pagan and my mom can't stand it

I (25F) am currently unhoused at 28 weeks pregnant and my husband and I are being permitted to hang out in my parents air conditioning during the day because I have been hospitalized twice due to the heat. I am trying so hard to be grateful...and my mother just makes it absolute hell.

I was raised Christian. My parents are self-proclaimed evangelical Christians. My siblings and their spouses are also Christians. In the last four years, I've deconstructed and chosen a different path as Christianity never felt right for me.

My mother hates it. She makes every conversation about how her beliefs are right and mine are wrong and evil. She is often the only one at the house when I am there during the day and when I try to say something like "I hate that we don't get along," she says "I don't have any problem getting along with you."

The other day I was talking about how excited I am to be getting into this new place where we'll have our own air conditioning and running water again and she just went off on a rant about how "all your siblings say 'Praise the Lord' when their needs are met and you NEVER give God the glory and I hate it because you worship demons and fake gods" and so on, etc.. I can't tell her anything. I'm carrying her grandchild and I feel like I should be able to talk with her about these things and I can't because she makes it all about how her beliefs are right and mine are wrong. I even asked her about some of my symptoms and she said "I know Jesus is the answer but you won't accept it so I can't help you."

I'm so tired of this never ending cycle where she offers help in return for opportunities to try and convert me and then gets angry at me for accepting help and not wanting to convert back to Christianity. It's exhausting. I don't even want her to be alone with my baby when she's not because she doesn't have a filter for what is appropriate and what isn't.

As for the worshipping demons and fake gods thing, she has come up with that on her own and classifies me as a devil worshipper because she is willfully ignorant regarding my beliefs and she refuses to do any true research into my personal spirituality. I'm so done. We get to move into our new place officially on Wednesday and we'll be getting power and running water on Thursday and then I won't have to deal with my mother's bs again until next Sunday so at least I'll be getting a break.

Happy Father's day to all the good dads out there. Thankfully my dad happens to be awesome so at least I don't have a rant about him to post today. He has no idea the bs his wife has put me through and quite frankly I'm about to sit back and let her go. I don't have to do anything to make her look stupid, I just have to be patient. Anyway. Thanks if you read this far. Sorry it's such a long thing but I feel like details were necessary and I'm just really pissed off. NSFW tag was just because I got a community guidelines alert.

How the heck do you know you're in labor?

I'm 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I have been to the hospital several times since we passed 24 weeks because my husband and I absolutely do not know what we're doing. For my last one I was induced (baby passed prior to birth) and my pain tolerance is fairly high so I don't know what natural labor will feel like.

Thus far, we're just having lots of intense and painful practice contractions with a side of leaky boobs and loose stools. I feel so lost 😅

26 Weeks Pregnant, not sure how much longer I can take this

TW: mention of loss

Last year my husband and I lost our first daughter at 22 weeks on June 13. Today, on June 12, I am 26 weeks and 5 days pregnant with another baby girl who we are VERY excited to be welcoming into the world. We are looking at a new place to live tomorrow..one where our daughter can have her own room, we can get things ready for her, etc.

Here's the thing...I feel like my body is ripping itself apart. I can't believe we've made it this far. I can't comprehend meeting this child alive. And the practice contractions have not only started - they're also becoming more and more uncomfortable.

My mom isn't giving me any helpful advice at all (she's very upset to know I'm not religious so all her advice equates to converting to her belief system) and my sister didn't make it this far when she had my niece so I feel incredibly isolated and alone. I'm so scared something will happen and I'll miss it and lose the baby. Every time I sit on the toilet it feels like she might just fall out.

She discovered both sides of my ribcage this week, which is good although it's excruciatingly painful. Baby girl has also discovered my sciatic nerve as a spot that is apparently very comfortable for her to sit on, and for some reason every time I hear a child cry I feel this electric zapping sensation in my boobs and when I look in my bra there's dried milk.

I had no idea this is what 26 weeks would feel like. I am in so much pain constantly. Walking hurts. Standing hurts. I can hardly cook meals without feeling like I might pass out. Morning sickness still hasn't gone away. Laying down on my side hurts. I know I'm not supposed to lay on my back for long and when I do I get even more nauseous.

What the hell should I be doing to feel better? Is this normal? I envy those who have easy pregnancies and enjoy being pregnant. Maybe it's because I've been pregnant for over 40 weeks out of the last year and a half. Maybe I could do it if my body had more of a break. I sneaked into the bathroom to write this entire post because I had a big meal and now contractions are happening again and I started sweating from the pain and I just want to cry.

Please help

I want this baby but I hate being pregnant 😭

Being evicted at 22 weeks pregnant and I already feel like I'm awful at this

This pregnancy was an unexpected surprise. I lost my job due to some mental health complications during this pregnancy. As a result we were completely unable to pay rent for the last two months. Mind you, I have been reaching out for help for three months because we knew this was not sustainable without some kind of safety net.

I am trying my best to pack and I feel like I'm just horrible at it. We don't have any family we can stay with, and we're trying to find somewhere we could possibly rent privately. Unfortunately the eviction is eliminating most of what we would have considered options. We live in an area where there are social programs to help seniors and veterans. That's all they have. There is nothing for families in need.

We don't know where we are going. I'm terrified this may lead to us losing custody of our daughter when she is born. I don't know what to do. I would ask for advice but all we hear is that we are lazy...my husband works full-time. I'm working part-time at a new job to try and help our chances of being okay.

I hate this county. I hate the current state of our country. I just want to be able to live a peaceful life with our little family and make enough money to survive.

We are willing to relocate. I will happily work a different job in a new state. So will he. I don't know what to do or where to go.

I'm So Excited And So Terrified

TW: mention of loss. Flared as a rant because I don't know what else to call it.

Today, I(25F) am 22 weeks pregnant. Last year, on June 13, we lost our first daughter at 22 weeks. This time, we are having another baby girl but she is healthy and developing beautifully. Until today, I have been afraid to even think of a life with our daughter, and now it's starting to look like we may finally get to meet one of our children alive.

I'm thrilled, and terrified, and in terrible physical pain on a regular basis because my placenta is anterior and baby girl is pushing against my sciatic nerve fairly frequently. I still have awful morning sickness. My hips feel like they are ripping themselves apart. Round ligament pain is constant.lightning crotch is a frequent occurrence, and sometimes it occurs in the back door which can be startling...but I know it's all because my baby is moving and growing.

My husband felt her move for the first time the other night. We're so excited...this feels surreal. I can't wait to meet our daughter 🥹

Today I am 21 weeks pregnant after experiencing a loss at 22 weeks last year. Things are different this time. Baby girl is a bit bigger, and my belly has just started to feel tight and heavy. Movements are becoming more regular, too..but she kicked my ribs so hard earlier it actually hurt a little bit. Is that normal? Does it get worse? Sometimes she will flip and she's running out of room so she seems to do it very slowly and I'm not sure what to think.

If this is normal, when does it typically start to hurt? This is my first time having a positive outlook at this point in pregnancy.
