How Do You Fold/Roll an Edge Around a Sharp Gothic Point Without Deforming It?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on building my LARP armour.
I’m currently making a Gothic-style segmented cuirass out of aluminium, and I’m having trouble folding/rolling the edges around sharp corners, especially around the pointed end of the Gothic plate/band shown in the attached photos.
In the attachments, I’ve included both an example of the clean, finished result I’m trying to achieve and photos of my own work showing how far I’ve managed to get. In my photos, you can clearly see the exact area where I get stuck and can’t work out how to continue folding the edge cleanly.
I’m referring specifically to the sharp point where the two edges meet.
On the straight sections, I can get a fairly clean and consistent folded edge. The problem starts when I reach the point, where the direction of the edge changes sharply. The aluminium begins to bunch up and forms a thick, irregular lump instead of following the clean line of the two straight edges.
So far, the only way I’ve managed to close the edge in that area is by hitting it quite hard with a hammer. However, doing that tends to distort the aluminium around the point and ruins both the clean edge and the surface I had already finished.
The attached photos of my own work show exactly how far I can get successfully, and the point beyond which I can’t figure out how to continue without deforming the tip.
What is the correct technique for dealing with this kind of sharp Gothic point?
Should I stretch, shrink, notch, trim, pre-form, or otherwise prepare the edge before folding it over?
Is there a particular hammering technique, tool, or sequence that would allow me to keep the point sharp and clean without deforming the surrounding aluminium?

How do you properly edge a 90° corner without creating this “claw”?

Hi everyone, I could use some advice with a problem I’m having while edging/folding 1.5 mm sheet metal.
In the attached photos you can see the result of my work. I can form the two straight edges fairly cleanly, but when I reach the corner where the two folded edges meet, I always end up with this claw-like point / excess material sticking out of the corner.
At that point I’m not sure what the correct technique is to continue forming the edge and turn it into a clean, well-defined corner.
The only method I have managed to use so far is hitting the corner quite hard with a hammer. I can eventually force it into shape, but doing this distorts the sheet metal considerably and also damages the clean edges I have already formed.
I’m therefore trying to understand if there is a better way to control the excess material that builds up at the corner and gradually work it into shape instead of simply forcing it down with heavy hammer blows.
How would you approach a corner like this?
Should the corner be prepared somehow before folding the two sides? Should I gradually shrink/compress the material at the corner, or is there a particular stake, anvil shape, tool, or technique that would make this easier?
If anyone knows of any videos, tutorials, or step-by-step guides showing how to form a clean edged corner like this, I would really appreciate it.

Help with edging a sharp Gothic armour point in aluminium 1.5mm

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on building my LARP armour.
I’m currently making a Gothic-style segmented cuirass out of aluminium, and I’m having trouble turning/folding the edges around sharp corners, especially around the pointed end of the Gothic plate/band shown in the attached photo.
As you can see in the picture, I’m referring specifically to the sharp pointed section where the two edges meet.
On the straight sections I can get a fairly clean and consistent folded edge. The problem starts when I reach that point, where the direction of the edge changes sharply. The aluminium starts to bunch up and creates a thick, irregular lump instead of following the clean line of the two straight edges.
So far, the only way I’ve managed to close the edge in that area is by hitting it quite hard with a hammer. However, doing that tends to distort the aluminium around the point and ruins the clean edge and surface that I had already finished.
Any advice, photos, videos, or examples would be greatly appreciated.
