How did I do?

Dried the meat completely, seasoned, then in the bath at 137° for 2 hours. I dried it again, put it on a rack and popped it in the fridge for a bit (dinner wasn’t until later). The only oil I had on hand was olive so I heated that up until it started lightly smoking and seared on both sides for about 1.5-2 minutes each. It tasted amazing!!! (Sorry for the weird picture I started eating and forgot to snap a pic)

AIO for wanting to go no contact with my sister after a conversation about preschool?

For some context, my sister (29) and I (27F) were close when we were kids and around 2016 we started growing farther apart. We didn’t have the same interests anymore, we had different values and opinions. The turning point for me was when she brought her abuse alcoholic boyfriend to my graduation party even after we all asked her not to…he ended up groping a female family friend who was underage and he got beat up by our step dad and the young girls dad. She acts like she was a victim in that situation and it was traumatic for only her, but if she just respected my boundaries non of that would have happened. She has kind of always made my moments about her.

She has a 4 year old son that is absolutely a ray of sunshine. I adore him. I wish I could spend more time with him but currently all I can do is a Sunday gathering once a week at our mom’s house. She does occasionally ask for me to come-over but usually I say no because my schedule doesn’t really allow much time. Last Sunday we were talking about kindergarten (I work at a preschool) so she was asking questions about the process, I don’t know much about it so I said there is a local UPK program that is 100% free, 5 days a week from 9-2:30 if she was interested in sending him to that before kindergarten and that I can give her the information. He goes to a chain daycare that she pays for and it’s expensive for the two days he goes my intention is always to be helpful. She asked a lot of questions about the UPK program (she had a weird attitude while asking which should have been my first red flag) but I answered all the questions. She starts talking about how all these kids around him are shit and dumb, how the teachers are all fucked up. I told her to give little trust to the teachers because they want to be there, they have spent 6 years of schooling and 10s of thousands of dollars to teach kids like her son. We live in one of the top 20 states for education and the schools around us are very good also ALL of my close friends are teachers. But SHE LOST IT yelling asking me if I lost my mind..she stormed off slamming doors and talking about me to my mom LITERALLY behind my back. I ended up just saying bye and leaving because I won’t entertain her drama fits (she does this often) When she disagrees with someone she sucks the air out of the room and makes everyone uncomfortable because she’s upset. Well after I left she proceeds to talk to my mom and made a comment about my abortion, saying that i basically took away a cousin for my nephew and a strong bond for the both of us since we would be moms together…so I want to stop going to Sundays and not talk to her for the foreseeable future especially after these texts. But there is a 4 year old in the mix so not sure if this is an overreaction because not seeing her would equal not being able to see him.

*if there are any mistakes in this I am sorry I am dyslexic and trying my best lol*
