What do you do when a dog refuses to finish a 30-minute walk?

I’m scheduled to walk a sweet little Goldendoodle for 6 days, twice a day and I’m currently on day 2. There's already a pattern that I'm starting to notice.

During our early morning walks, she does great and goes for the full 30 minutes. But during the evening around 6 PM, she’ll usually only want to go one or two blocks. Luckily she does her business but once she’s done, she's done. She’ll literally sit down and refuse to move if I try to continue the walk. When I let her choose where to go she immediately starts leading me back to her home.

The owner was understanding and told me to do whatever is necessary. I guess my issue is that I feel weird about it. Like anxious about ending a 30-minute booking early because it feels like I’m not giving them what they paid for and if they'll leave me a bad review for it. Yesterday on the app I ended the walk early, but today I spent the remaining time outside chilling on the steps with the dog. Can't really go inside the home since there's a family member staying in (': Is this the correct way to approach this?

Shift drought is getting ridiculous

My site just hired 10 more associates and they had the audacity to only drop 4 shifts for next week. I dont know how much longer I can take this 😔 Kinda sucks since this is such an easy job.

What makes a great Rover meet & greet?

I have my first 2 meet & greets tomorrow, and I'm honestly nervous. Not because I have second thoughts, but because I genuinely want to make a good impression and care about the dogs feeling comfortable with me.

I'm not too sure what a typical meet & greet should look like and what to expect. One service is for house sitting and the other is for walking. Also, does Rover automatically show you the owner's address after the m&g is confirmed, or do you usually ask for it yourself?

How to get LOR's without it feeling forced

I'm a little stressed about getting letters of recommendation. I'm on the introverted side so in most of my classes I'm more a listener than someone who's constantly raising their hand or talking.

I know its important to build relationships with your professors, but I honestly don't know how to do that without it feeling forced or awkward. Basically I don't want to come across like I'm only talking to them because I need a letter later. How do y'all do it?

Whitener Mark for Chem 120

Unfortunately his lecture is the only one that works with my schedule. Saw his RMP reviews and they're... ehhh. The same thing happened with my last chem professor though. Their reviews weren't great either but it ended up being a good prof. Just wanted to know if he's not as bad as they say.

Starting later than most and feeling discouraged

My path into pre-vet has been a little unconventional. I was a late junior majoring in business before deciding this semester to switch to Biology. It's a long story but to summarize I realized too soon this is what I want.

Whenever I go through this subreddit, it seems like almost everyone already has hundreds or even thousands of hours of animal and veterinary experience. Some people have been volunteering since high school, working in clinics, raised in farms, or have other really unique experiences that make them competitive

Meanwhile, I only made this decision a few months ago. I didn't grow up on a farm and dont have any animal-related experience beyond caring for my own pets. The only things I have under my belt is a 3.8 GPA, customer service from my retail job and being a member of my college's community garden. So, I'm essentially starting from scratch.

I know everyone's journey is different, but it's hard not to feel behind when so many applicants are already perfect. Not here to be a negative nancy or to bring other people's efforts down, I just could really use some guidance on where to even begin. With about three years left, im not sure how to rack up a good amount of hours while balancing classes.
