Hi everyone. I had a question about these shoes. They seem to fit my foot pretty well. But standing in them forces my toes to the end and it’s somewhat painful. Can I expect these to get comfortable? Or should I size up by half a size. The bottom of my foot goes numb after about 10 minutes
For example I wear a 41.5 Scarpa Vapor V and could size down. I ordered these Drone LV in size 7.5 based off of the sizing chart, and it said I needed a 7.5. These 7.5 don’t even allow my heel inside, so I’m deciding between a 8.5 and a 9. I wear a 9 in street shoe, and think my foot is wide enough for an HV.
Does anyone know what this is cloning? It’s a wonderful sweet extremely woody fragrance that is a 24/7 12 months out of the year fragrance. I love it so much but cannot for the life of me tell what it’s duping. It smells a tiny bit like ultra male
Excited for this one as L’Absolu is my favorite fragrance of all time after smelling hundreds and hundreds. I kind of came full circle. Tried designer, then niche, then realized I don’t want anything crazy. I just want a ten bottle collection that I rotate through, anyways, let’s begin
Dumont Nitro Elixir - Not much of a fan of this one at all. It smells like rayhaan elixir/jpg elixir with orange blossom mixed in. It’s too thick for me to wear during the summer/spring and I don’t enjoy how sweet it is. This one isn’t very close to L’Absolu in my opinion, but good gosh does it last and project forever. This isn’t a bad fragrance, this just isn’t for me. I’ve always been a fan of freshies and always will be. Anyways, this one’s going to last you for forever and project for at least 3-4 hours. 6/10
Mykonos Conquer - This one’s great, I was ready to bash it because I love being the voice of truth when TikTok influencers feed you bad information. This i very, very close to L’Absolu. The only difference is that it’s “softer.” It opens up less sweet and strong as L’Absolu, but it is incredibly close, I’m just nitpicking. It’s also got this super slightly woody thing going on in the drydown but it’s not super detectable. I don’t get the longevity and projection I get out of the OG, which isn’t saying much. L’Absolu lasts a long time, but has never been a projection beast. It’s pretty intimate after an hour or so. I’m excited to let this one mature. Maybe it’ll become stronger and last longer. 9/10.

So I just got in to climbing, bought some scarpa instinct VS on eBay for $50 and didn’t realize how consumed the rubber was. I’d like to buy an affordable pair, new. Is the la sportiva finale the best bang for my buck?
This is my new favorite fragrance of all time, and it’s almost entirely because of the orange blossom note. It reminds me of being a kid, picking honeysuckle in the woods and smelling the flowers. That nostalgic, sweet floral scent is exactly what I love about it.
Based on what I’ve read, I should probably be looking into Perseus. I enjoy Myslf EDP, but Le Parfum smells overly synthetic to me. I’m open to trying things, but I’d especially like recommendations that stay in the same fresh orange blossom/citrus-floral territory.
For reference, my other favorite fragrances are Imagination, Afternoon Swim, and Percival. I generally don’t enjoy white florals, so I’m looking for something that captures that bright, airy orange blossom feeling without becoming too floral or heavy. This is tricky because I want it to last long
Ok, I know this doesn’t make much sense, but bear with me. Let me preface this by saying that if you fall in love with something at first sniff and can’t imagine a life without it (but can’t afford it), buy decants of clones. This post is for fragrances that you really want in your collection, but don’t feel super snobby about when it comes to clone similarity.
So, I’m far along in my fragrance journey and there’s something I wish I knew sooner. Some clones I want to be as close to a 1:1 as possible, some I just want something in that wheelhouse. For example, afternoon swim; I will not settle for anything less than the best here. I don’t want orange juice, I don’t even want oranges, I want a slightly musky poolside orange rind scent, I can’t just blind buy anything. Now let’s use the opposite end of the spectrum, for example. Tom Fords portefino neroli, I don’t want a 1:1, I don’t care. I bought declassifieds dupe for $12 at Burlington because I just wanted a citrusy neroli and that’s what I got. There are super noticeable differences between it and the original, but I don’t care.
Test yourself, got to Sephora and smell all the fragrances in a designer line (myslf is a good one) and decide if their differences are enough for you to really get worked up on.
