so basically, i like to read up on the latest trends in tech and my manager encourages it as we are software engineers. todays top bbc article is around trump's chnage to calling it "Super Intelligence" instead of AI and how now .si website domains have skyrocketed. it then talked about how a guy bought a men.com domain name for cheap and resold it for millions. I was curious so i copy pasted that domain name (BBC gave literally 0 context as to what it was), and then I was blocked by my company stating it was cornography which i didnt know. i deleted my history after. i am assuming that since my work laptop is heavily audited/tracked they should clearly see me copy pasting that link into browser from the bbc article instead of me randomly deciding one day to visit that page? could i get into trouble/fired over this ? i have been having a panic attack over this.

so i am looking ot get my hgv license soon and ive recently found out that i would be restricted to automatic hgv only. i know how to drive manual as i drive a manual motorbike and have driven manual cars abroad etc. will this affect my job prospects or no ?

my contract ends at the end of the year as a accountant and i am looking to move to hgv. if i go through a training school is it worth doing my theory like health. theory tests, hazard perception and CPC in advance of practical training? will this reduce course costs?

for context, i am with admiral. 2 years back in march ish i had a motorbike accident where i was rear ended, bike was a write off. i contacted the other side about cost of claim when getting a car insurance quote and they said as of now its 5k ish which i put down and got car insurance. but i also have a personal injury case ongoing which is about to be wrapped up. do i need to update my car insurance cost of claim for that motorbike accident to include the personal injury amount or not ?

i am a 20 year old software engineer with around 11k invested in my stocks and shares isa at the moment. passed my driving test a couple months back and am in the market for a yaris. found some decent ones around 6-7k, insurance will be another 2-2.5k. should i go for a loan of 9k by m and s bank as they were the cheapest at a 6% interest rate for 2 yearse or just pay off the car and insurance with my savnigs? im tempted to go for the former as i think i can get better than 6% returns on my savings in my isa, and i can always pay off the loan early if i choose to. what do you guys think?

so im currently finish up on my degree apprenticeship. and i am not receiving a return offer from my company due to department wide hiring freezes. so i am going to start looking for outside employment. i have a 1st class digital and technology solutions degree, 3 years working at a large company working mainly with data visulisation and automatic reporting for my first year and this year more agentic workflows and machine learning. firstly, can i apply to both grad and direct entry roles? how is the current job market? considering that fact i was able to obtain 3 offers for degree apprenticeships, am i likely to get a job?

so im halfway through my degree apprenticeship at a large company and wanna work a 2nd job. nothing crazy but maybe tutoring a couple hours on weekend. only thing is, should i tell my manager or not? ive only recently joined a new team after a re org and she seems nice. only thing is, i dont wanna look like im not commited and risk potentially not getting a return offer for a couple hundred a month. I looked through my contract and didnt find anything specifcally on 2nd jobs. i could ask my old manager as me and her were a lot closer but idk im still cautious. what do you think?

so im a final 4th year digital and technology soltuions degree apprentice at a large company working in a mix of things like dashboarding, using agentic workflows etc. i recevied news recentntly from my manager that she thinks im not gonna get a return offer due to department hiring freezes although ive done great work and recevied praise from directors, averaged out to a strong 1st (84%) at uni. ive had sleepless nights as i dont know what to even do, i was under the assumption that I would stay with the company after graduating as most apprentices in my company do. and now people are talking about how the job market is cooked for IT and i dont know what im going to do. can i apply to grad roles? and would i be likely to get an offer with my experience? I feel as though i am underqualified for full time roles idk. and where do i even find grad roles/jobs? i have about 2 years worth of savings, is htis sufficient time to get a job? ive been having panic attacks about this. please help out.
