Statute of Limitations SCE claims.

Not a lawyer, so if I’m understanding something in correctly, apologies.

A friendly reminder that the statute of limitations to sue, if you so choose too, runs out two years after the date of the event.

Rumor has it takes about 4 months to get through SCE’s compensation program’s “fast track” program, which gets you an initial offer with no obligation to accept.

So if you start the program now, in theory you’ll have an offer in early December, which gives you roughly a month to decide if you want to accept the offer, go into detailed review with SCE, or join a lawsuit.

SCE compensation nine months (ish) later

How is everyone feeling about the compensation program 9 months later?

If you took the money were you pleased that you were able to move on?

If you didn’t take the money are you holding out for a class action or similar to pay out?

Help with a fallen bird

Baby bird fell out of our rafters into our yard.

We made it a little nest where the family can see it, but we’re never going to be able to get it back up to the nest.

Is there anything we can do for it, or is it a lost cause?

App defaulting to Explore

Anyone else’s iPhone app start defaulting to the “explore” layer instead the the layer associated with your vehicle?

Super obnoxious.

Also 2026.15.0 seems like it takes FOREVER to wake the vehicle from the app.

Plan check timeline

Anyone else feeling pretty bummed out that plan check is still working with a 5-6 month backlog?

Anyone we can bother to help expedite/make this better for the collective community?

Curious if anyone here as gone down the prefab route.

We're moving along steadily with our architect and GC on our primary dwelling, but would love to potentially invest in a prefab ADU (500/600 square foot range) that we could potentially install sooner rather than later so we could move back to the property while the rest of the build happens.

Azure seems interesting, and has a small unit on display on Altadena Drive.

I know there have been a few fairs showcasing similar products, but I travel a lot for work and haven't managed to make it to one.

thank you!

Wondering if those of you who have taken/received the SCE payouts, have your insurance companies come back to you asking for money back on your claim?

thank you!
