Slotted the bridge on my Jason Isabell retro today

I personally believe this is one of the easiest acoustic guitar mods that make the biggest improvement. Also picked up some new solid bridge pins from elderly to compete the mod. All said and done the guitar sounds better for sure.
Anyone else done this to one of their guitars yet? It’s not that hard to do if you have the right tools, and the tools really don’t cost that much.

Anyone want the two empty cans and the box by any chance?

So now that the car is gone as of yesterday I feel I can finally share my story.

I purchased a cpo and 23 i4 e40 about a year and a half ago with 35k miles from a very reputable dealership in the area. So that gave me the bmw cpo warranty until mid 2028. Having owned a mach e gt that turned out to be a lemon I was never going to own one of these without a warranty because of obvious reasons. Ford gave us all our money back for the car by that way with zero hassle.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I have been in market for a Type S Integra for a few months lately so I decided to pull the trigger. Well wouldn’t you know it right before I was thinking of trading the i4 it stared to act up by showing a drivetrain malfunction code. But as soon as the code showed up it would disappear. But I knew I had to take it to the dealer to get it looked at before I could sell it and or trade it in.

So I took the car in and they diagnosed the car and let me know a sensor in the drive motor and a cable associated with it needed to be replaced. My service advisor told me that they would order the parts and that he would have the car back to me in 3 days give or take. Fast forward 3 hours later and my advisor called saying that the repair was not going to be covered under warranty and that it would cost about 10k to fix! I was floored. I mean a flood of emotions came over me all at once. Pissed,

Dumfounded, overwhelmed, sad, it all came at once and I had to pull myself together lol.

How can they tell me that it’s not covered? The car still had the cpo coverage not to mention that part should fall under the 8 year drivetrain warranty? The car only had 50k miles on it. I told the advisor that was unacceptable and that I would be calling corporate. So I did and they opened a case but it took me pressing them to do so. I was actually kind of shocked how little they wanted to help. As a matter of fact the first time I called they refused to open the case. It wasn’t until I got some advice from my legal council (did I mention my wife is a litigating attorney) and called them back using the correct vernacular that they did.

I also had to call the dealer back and explain to them that I wasn’t going to lay down for this. I’m guessing bmw cooperate had a little chat with the dealer because later the day they called back saying they would make the repairs. What kind of shady shit is this? Shady!

I couldn’t get rid of that car fast enough. Never in my life will we ever own another bmw product. Shameful to say the least, and I want this to be a forewarning to all you happy i4 owners. You might be in for a nice surprise!

Anyone share anything similar to this? I would love to hear your horror stories.

So I decided to go with the black type s emblem swap because I like the look better.

However I came to realize that the black emblems are not curved like the stock ones.

Especially the one in the truck so the badge is trying to pull itself off from one corner.

The ones on the fenders are better but I’m still not happy with the fit. Anyone else have this issue, or are you guys just living with it? These are Honda oem badges by the way.

Such an unreal machine. I’ve been lucky enough to own some bad ass cars in my life and this car is absolutely incredible. Kudos Honda, you literally make me “dream” about driving this car!
