ap bio and ib bio?

Hey everyone! I’m a rising junior and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and how did you go about it? Or just advice in general?

I took AP bio sophomore year and got a 5. My school started to offer IB classes and I was thinking whether it would be useful to take IB HL bio or if it would be redundant? I want to pursue a pre-med track but I keep getting mixed opinions and I don’t know what to do.

My prozac didn't work?

I began taking prozac this January for depression and anxiety and slowly increased my dosage from 10mg to 30mg and my psychiatrist wanted to push to 50mg eventually. But for some reason I didn't experience any improvement after taking it for 4 months. Has anyone had the same experience? And to those who had a similar experience, what other antidepressants were prescribed to you?

AP Calc AB or BC??

I'm going into my junior year and I'm still debating whether to take calc ab or bc. I took ap pre-calc last year and got a 5 but I've heard ap calc is way harder. My school offers calc AB but not BC so im not really sure what to do. I was thinking of taking AB in school and self studying BC but i don't know if that'll work. Another option for me is to do AB in 11th grade then take the BC exam in 12th. I was worried about this option because I want colleges to see my calc bc score before I apply so it'll look better. Any thoughts?

Why didn't my fluoxetine work?

Hello! I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder w/ anxiety, was prescribed fluoxetine in January and took it for 3-4 months. My dose increased from 10mg to 30mg and my old psychiatrist wanted to continue increasing it till 50mg. I stopped taking it because my parents said it was worsening suicidal ideation which I disagree with. My parents also made me stop seeing the psychiatrist. When first taking it, I think I experienced a placebo effect (thought it was helping but it really wasn't). I was wondering what the next steps regarding medication usually are? Like will I probably be prescribed another SSRI or another class of antidepressants? Also is there an explanation as to why fluoxetine didn't work and does this say anything about reactions to my metabolites?

Taking AP Chem!!

hi guys! im planning to take ap chem online in aug as a junior. i took regular chemistry before and im really strong at it and i need ap chem for my major in college but my sch doesnt offer it (i know its crazy). has anyone taken ap chem online before? if yes where did you take it and was it good?

also, for those who have taken bio and chem, is ap bio or ap chem harder? i took ap bio in my sophomore year and got a 5 but i found it really difficult. im worried abt ap chem bc i took ap bio in person so it was manageable but taking ap chem online is so scary.

Online AP Seminar course?

Hey everyone. So my IRR and IWA were flagged as AI and I'm just assuming worse case scenario lol but i have two questions:

  1. if they reject the appeal and i get a low score, can i cancel my score afterwards? and will colleges see that i cancelled my score or will they just see that I didnt take the exam or smth?

  2. i was thinking of retaking ap seminar online bc my sch isnt offering the class in august. i looked up courses online and i think its possible but has anyone ever taken ap seminar online and how did it work?

I keep getting mixed opinions about different SAT websites and I don't know what to use.

I took my first SAT at the end of my sophomore year and got 1380 (690 R&W, 690 M). I want to take the SAT in August or maybe September and every time after that because I want at least a 1550. I'm about to be a junior in high school and I live overseas so there almost no in-person tutoring and I don't know what to do. I was looking at OnePrep and UWorld and they seem good but I'm still lost. And also I don't really know where I can learn Desmos hacks. I want to learn all of them instead of in chunks from different videos and websites. Any advice?
