50th Anniversary Gift Ideas?
One of my sisters is hitting that milestone this summer (and her husband of course).
And I have no clue what to get them for a gift. Their house is very clutter-free. They like to travel in their RV.
Any ideas?

My body has decided to not like over easy eggs. But it also doesn't seem to like lightly scrambled eggs. Now I'm down to McDonald's style scrambled (very dry and hard cooked) or hard boiled.

It took me a bit to figure out:
- Maybe it's the kind of fat it was cooked in.
- Maybe it was the amount of fat.
- Was it the cheese added to it?
- Maybe the way the cheese melted (I already know partially melted cheese that has released some oils bothers me as well)

But then over easy bothered me two times in a row when not cooked by my spouse.

I'd get over easy eggs and sausage and chop it all up into a big mess. It was lovely!

I miss my big mess breakfast.

Apparently, the proteins in eggs change when cooked. And I've developed a problem with the lesser cooked ones.

I think there's an enzyme involved, lipase?

And of course, I can add some sausage crumbles to my eggs when I scramble them.

But, dang it, I'd just finally found a place that knew how to make over easy eggs properly and my spouse had really honed in on a nice soft scramble. And it's jolly nice to have someone else make me breakfast. (And spouse is not good at judging just the right amount of sausage crumbles to add and I don't like to keep critiquing someone doing something for me).

But mostly, waaaaa, I miss over easy eggs.
I don't have GERD or heartburn issues. But my spouse does. And it was hugely worse before we got a full bed wedge. The wedge has really helped him.
But now I have sleep issues. I have become a very active sleeper. In my sleep, I gradually work my way down the bed and then literally climb my way back up. Multiple times a night. In addition, I don't think my circulation appreciates it as I have more issues with that in my legs since we got the wedge. And my hips hurt and ache frequently now.
I tried shoving a pillow under the bottom sheet at the bottom of the bed but that only worked short term. It doesn't help that I prefer to sleep half on my stomach and half on my side, all stretched out with my toes over the edge. Some nights I wake up and my legs almost to the knees are over the edge.
Any suggestions?
I'm about to start looking for beds where each side can be individually adjusted up and down. But we got the full wedge originally so our bodies wouldn't need to bend at the hips. In the past, whenever I had to prop up just my upper body due to bad congestion, it was not comfortable and led to aches and pains.
My hips have been bothering me "something chronic" (as we used to phrase it in the south).
Several years ago, my right hip would hurt but that was solved by training myself to keep my pelvis perpendicular to my spine when I slept.
Then I'd have the occasional problem if I sat "wrong" for too long, usually due to sitting in an unfamiliar chair (such as having to work at the office instead of in my ergonomic chair at home).
But now.
Both hips will "bother" me. They don't "hurt" so much as they are uncomfortable (more right than left). And they get really warm when they are bothering me.
If I had to track it to changes in my environment, we have a full bed wedge now due to my husband's GERD (and it does help him). And we replaced our recliner. Also my activity level went hugely down when I stopped caregiving for my mom.
I've got a rebounder I need to finish putting together in my WFH "office" which I'm hoping helps.
But I wanted to get some wisdom for all y'all.
I am the original owner of a 98 with over 300k miles. It got relegated to outside the garage and used only for trips like hauling the rubbish to the rubbish transfer station (I live rural).
Consequently, the mice have gotten at the wiring. Husband says it's "all" the wiring (no idea what that means). I kept wanting to take it to the shop down the road but he said it wasn't worth it. He's always maintained the cars but also doesn't trust mechanics. The car has literally not moved in 3 years, at least
I have an emotional attachment to the car. I understand the mechanic might find additional things wrong at this 6.
Based on the wiring alone, is it worth paying someone to fix this car?
I'm watching the 1960's version of Ocean's 11. One of the characters has just gotten out of prison on clemency (think compassionate release). He's at the doctor's, who is looking at a chest X-ray. The patient asks, "Is it the big casino?"
Never heard of cancer being called that before.
There was a time when I would have understood that the patient had something bad. But I don't think I would have made the cancer connection back in my before cancer days.
Just found the phrase interesting.
