So ...at first my Rockster was running poorly, so I found the bottom plugs to be caked up and replaced them. When that didn't work I found that the lower plug wires were bad and have replaced them. It ran for 2 laps around the block and started popping with a slight backfire. So thought it just needed a good ride to clean it out. Next morning, it won't start at all. I have checked the fuel injectors and they are spraying fuel, the fuel pump whirrrrs when I turn the key on, it has over half a tank of fuel in it....can anyone give me other things to check?
Took the Rockster apart to replace the spark plug wires and found this under the body panels. It's been disconnected from vacuum lines and is just sitting there. Do I need it?
I have figured out why my R1150R Rockster was running rough, I appear to have a bad plug wire. I tested both coil packs and lower plug wires and this one has no spark. So my question is, how much of a pain is it to replace?
With a w123 and a beautiful day...I'll never say no!
Such a happy sound :)
New BMW R1150R Rockster owner here and im getting mixed signals from the sight glass. Went for a long ride, parked it on the center stand and checked it in the morning and the oil was not even in the sight glass. I added almost half a quart and took it to work. I got home and now it's showing over full...what is going on?
I just pulled my car out of storage and have been bumping to tunes with no issues. But when I went to put something in the trunk, I noticed they were flexing while my music was paused. Can this blow my subs?
