The bare minimum IG needs to qualify to worlds is really similar to what wbg needs. They need the top 5 teams in terms of championship points to finish in the top 6 and IG will need to finish as either 5th or 6th to take wbgs place in the regional finals (since if wbg and ig have the same amounts of points then their placement in the grand finals will decide who gets to qualify to regional finals). And since wbg didnt even qualify for the grand finals all ig has to do is get atleast 40 points (same as wbg) and have every other team thats not in the top 5 rn in terms of championship points to finish as 7th or below.

In order for this to happen the current top 5 teams in terms of championship points have to finish in top 6 in the grand finals and nip need to finish as either 5th or 6th (if they finish as 4th they finish above wbg in championship points and thus wbg wont qualify for regional finals). every other team needs to finish as 7th or below in the grand finals of the lpl. wbg will also need to win 2 bo5s in the regional finals in order to qualify for worlds.

so yeah its pretty unlikely that they make it but it could happen.

At first i was very skeptical about any non-standard build and refused to build them but then i looked at what some high elo kaisa otp was building and i saw some of them building crit so i decided to give it a try. My first crit build looked smt like this:

-dorans bow-cull-krakenslayer-berserker greaves-guinsoo-phantom dancer-infinity edge-lord dominiks-hexoptics

And even tho i couldnt use my w to its fullest the build still felt really good especially bc it made me feel really strong in the late game and 1v1s but also gave me a lot of movement speed (phantom dancer gives you 10% mp and you become ghosted) which was useful for escaping and chasing.

Then after yuuntal got buffed i started building this:

-dorans bow-yuuntal-berserker greaves-infinity edge-phantom dancer-lord dominiks-bloodthirster-guardian angel

I felt a lot squishier with this ,,new,, build but my damage at 3 item was absurd and i prolly should have just swapped berserker greaves in the late game bc i already had a lot of attack speed but i honestly forgot about it.

I still really like the standard build bc it makes me feel really save bc i can poke people witrh my w really well and my ult gives me far more shield bc of its high ap scaling but the passive is the best part of the standard build bc it lets you clean up so well against opponent who are at or below 60% health

DK has been very good this year even during the lck cup and the spring split they had some really good series and games but they became absolute monsters after winning ewc. their performance during road to msi wasnt bad and they could have won against kt if siwoo and the team didnt forget how to play past 35 min (obviously it was hella fun watching caedrel decsend into madness but i was a bit sad for DK). I only became a true fan of dk after ewc bc i really like their playstyle and gameplay but also the vibes the team had/have. And after ewc they seem to have gained the confidence to actually try and challange the gianst of the lck. Idk why they are so good but if its bc of them not getting payed or just bc of the power of friendship after ewc then keep doing it.

They are a team with one of the weakest botlane duo in the entire lck. Even tho their topside is really strong i just dont see their botlane being able to compete with bot duo like:

-guma-delight

-smash-career

-peyz-keria

-ruler-duro

I legit think they should have just kept peter and deokdam even if they werent great this year i think they still would have been better than fenrir, jiwoo, effort, ghost and pollu. And even tho Aiming (15) is a very controsversial player i think he was fine this year overall so i dont get why they dropped him bc of a disagreement with bdd right before playoffs and worlds. Also why would Kt even buy Aiming (15) in the first place?? Taeyoon just returned from the lpl and he was really good this year, diable might have had some behavior issues but he is still a pretty talented player, teddy also had his moments even tho he is pretty old.

So they brought aiming to kick him out right before playoffs and couldnt find a normal support till march. what was the point of kicking deokdam and peter if they ended up with jiwoo and effort in the end??? like they arent any better then them.

i would understand why they replaced peter and deokdam if they found someone like kellin for support and diable, taeyoon, teddy or aiming (15) for adc. And even tho they managed to get aiming (15) they still kicked him out right before playoffs.

Their only hope is t1 topside being atrocious or geng choking and being inviseble in playoffs.

I roleswapped from top to adc this spring and ive been struggling a lot. even when i win games most of them dont feel satisfying at all. when i roleswapped i thought im gonna have to play a role with a 2v2 laning phase but it turns out im either having to play a 2v1 or a 1v1 most of them times due to my support roaming for most of the game. so im stuck under my tower trying to farm for 30 min without dying a lot. i cant join teamfights since i dont have tp and the teamfights are on the other side of the map. i have to recall every time after clearing a wave under my tower bc i either play against a mage bot or im just getting bullied or doven by a botlane duo. i really like playing adcs when my support plays with me and im not playing against a mage bot, its reall exciting to play squishy champs and try to position well in teamfights and deal crazy amount of damage but most of the time i just have no impact on the game and thus it makes it really boring to play. its just simply not fun to play adcs under these conditions.

Even tho hle lost 3 series in a row in round3-4 they lost all of them 2-1 and remained competetive til the very end. also them trying out things like shyvana, locke and some other niche picks is not really a bad things since they are almost 100% making worlds this year bc of them winning msi. they played really nice even from losing positions showing great mental strength and resilience. Kanavi and delight have a lot of work ahead of them but i think its a good time to prepare for worlds and experiment in drafts.

Only way they dont make worlds is:

-finish last in legend group

-go to play ins

-lose first bo5 to the first seed of rise group

-lose 2nd bo5 to the winner of seed 2 vs seed 3 of rise group

So yeah i dont think we should be worried at all since they didnt play that bad in any of the series they lost.

I started watching esport last year and supporting geng and hle too. I was really hoping they could win worlds since they looked so good all year. but during worlds they fell apart. no one was doing anything on the team and everyone was just afk farming, they were losing gold on the map everywhere since kt had a very fast paced playstyle and i would say slightly better drafts too. this year geng seem to have the same issues as during last years worlds and just seem to be unable to play from behind. as soon as they fall behind they all try and focus on farming up but they rarely make plays on the map. this makes their playstyle very predictable. but unlike last year the drafts and the teamfighting are some of the worst out of all the legend group teams. unlike hle who also lost 2 series geng didnt seem competetive in either of them. they just got ran over in every possible way. the 2 worst performing player are canyon and ruler. ruler is gapped by every legend group adc(smash,peyz,guma and even fenrir seem really good tho, but ruler still shouldnt be 2k gold behind by min 15) and if you told me canyon didnt even participate in one of the series i wouldnt even notice him missing from the games. i wouldnt care if they lost but actually put up a fight atleast but they all seem so lifeless as a whole. In a meta where the jgl and suport requires great coordination i havent seen canyon and duro on the same sreen a single time(in previous mage bot metas it was even more important to have great coordination).

This has been a rough series with both zeus and kanavi running it in game 1 and 3 but i think its kinda fine. Im not happy about the fact that they lost but if they want to test out new things and limit test its the best time for them to do so since winning msi almost 100% guarantees that they make worlds. Also even tho they lost 2 series they still managed to stay relatively competitive and the games were quite close. I dont mind even if they finish last in the group if they manage to show up for worlds and perform well. Since i think they were also experimenting a bit with shyvana varus and even locke. Obviously im not gonna pretend that kanavi didnt just stright up ran it down on jarvan and zeus just decided to pick an immobile lane bully into naafiri and gnar, but i still think they played just fine at the end of the day.
