No makeup in either pic. When I do put it on I go for subtle, natural looks and have gotten complimented on my makeup skills by coworkers in the past. Currently working on upgrading my wardrobe and have an upcoming laser consult. My insurance currently does not cover GAC at all.

American MSW Student considering the move

Hello. I am a 19 year old soon-to-be MSW Student finishing up my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. I will be starting my MSW program this coming fall. I have around 7 months experience working as a behavioral therapist for neurodivergent children (as a neurodivergent adult myself) and during my 2 year MSW program I will doing a paid internship at a hotline.

I am considering moving due to healthcare, social, and legislative/civil rights concerns around my identity as a transgender woman, as well as general decline across the board in the US. My question to you all is if, when, and how my move might be feasible, and what I should expect from this process, mainly in terms of my education and career, but also perhaps in other respects as well. Thanks much!

Been trying to follow this atelier drawing book. Feeling frustrated. The goal was to reproduce the work on the left using a 4 step process: finding action lines, finding repeating lines (which I failed to do), defining shapes, and defining tone and edges. The paper on the right was a tracing of the masterwork.

My big problem aside from general proportion issues is that adding the shading was meant to define the planes of the figure but I just ended up copying the shapes in a very flat manner.

Some other issues I faced:

- The placement of my vertical centerline was waaaaay waaaay off and I also failed to define outer widths of the figure properly with additional vertical structure lines

- The new pencil I got halfway through was too hard, preventing me from establishing strong values during shading

- I don't own an easel. This effectively kills the possibility of using the sight-size method properly and made it quite impractical even with the masterwork side by side with the copy.

I cannot help but feel a crushing disappointment when I look at this study and am hoping for advice on how to more accurately depict my subjects, how to cope with disappointment, and specific advice on defining planes with shape/value and the (at-home) atelier method. Thanks!!!

PS: Prud'hon, not Michaelangelo lol
