I need some help with the decision here, the app was built for me and you, so I feel you have a right to help with this.

HarmoniKeyboard for HarmonyOS NEXT devices, I have 50 reviews, mostly good, but some I need to reply to to let them know the issue or addon is done. But I cannot do it.

I am unable to reply to AppGallery reviews due to HarmoniKeyboard being published using my UK Huawei account. It keeps re-directing me back to EN and not CN which is what I need.

So, my decision right now is to keep as I am, liking the reviews from my Chinese account that I use, or, I try and publish the HKeyboard name using my Chinese Huawei Account, which will give me the correct access to reviews and all stuff. I don't like leaving people with no reply, hence why I left my email on the changelog and app description to hopefully help with it.

I haven't done anything with the chinese account yet, as I would be re-naming it to HKeyboard from HarmoniKeyboard. I will lose 50 reviews all 1600+ downloads. Luckily the keyboard allows local backup and restore now, so re-installing will be easy enough, but my worry is that peoples trusts might go.

It looks like I'm erasing my reviews to start again, which I don't really want to do, but for communications and customer services sake, I think it's the right move, what do you think?

I really like this theme on HarmoniKeyboard. It's beauty at it's peak.

Rhys here, just wanted to update you on the 3 keyboards versions for EMUI, Google & HarmonyOS.

The latest update has introduced an annoying bug where typing "ive" occassioanlly does not correct to "i've" and does not show on the suggestion bar, it only shows as "ive" and "i have" this is with other similar words like "dont" "havent" etc...

I have already uploaded an update without noticing this bug, so once this new update comes out, there will be a prompt update coming straight after (depending on Huaweis approval speed). fixing this bug.

As many of you know, my Auto-Correct side by side with your own customizable local dictionary works ok. It's far from the best, but improves over time.

After adding over 70 languages per OS system, I am now working on the Auto-Correct. My plan is to change how it currently scores your words. It will be run by a % instead of a point system.

This will compete worth GBoard and SwiftKey, will it be better? Who knows, bit my aim is high and I want to make sure you and myself have the best experience we can get typing on our devices.

This update will be V2.0. This os where the key oard starts to jump forward rather than stepping up. So I hope, whoever is using the keyboard either on Android, EMUI or HarmonyOS NEXT devices can please get back to me with feedback. It really helps. My autistic side will never forgive me if I fail this, so my goal is now to be the best.

HarmonyOS NEXT devices is the hardest to adapt to, but it does compete with Hawes own Celia keyboard.

Looking forward to getting this update done soon to dare what I've been doing!

Language build is getting a hide rebuild. Expect a serious difference worth languages, auto-correct, customizations again and will have more flexibility on the suggestion bar for customizing.

Just had a random idea... on PC, I am always holding Shift then Enter, to make a new line, I will implement that into the keyboard, because it just makes sense...

Going to be working on German language, especially compound words with capital letters.

Making 1 handed mode easier to access, thats the whole point of one handed mode, so, this will be a difficult one to code, but I was thinking about an automatic "One-Handed" button to appear in the Comma key shortcuts, only when the phone picks up gravity fed coding, so the phone already knows what hand is holding the phone because of the tilt on it, why not, when it's tilted have the one handed mode show, saves putting your other hand on it to turn it on.... (this is just an idea).

The other issue I have is gliding words, specifically "you" I am always getting "toy" which really annoys me, so I will be adding a new feature into the "Learned Words" tab in Typing, where you can prioritize words, so instead of excluding "toy" from the dictionary, I can push it aside so "you" will always be picked first.

My names Rhys, I run GB Tech Reviews on TikTok and I am the solo-developer behind HarmoniKeyboard for HarmonyOS NEXT and now HKeyboard from the ground up for EMUI and Android.

An important distinction: some early HarmoniKeyboard issues occurred when typing inside Android container apps on HarmonyOS NEXT. The system did not give the keyboard permission to recognise certain cursor and input-area clicks.

HKeyboard runs directly on EMUI and Android and isn’t subject to those container restrictions (Thankfully!).

It currently includes Glide Typing, Predictions, Auto-Correct, Multilingual Input (still being improved), a private local dictionary (with the option to download full dictionaries from GitHub), Incognito Mode, Clipboard tools and Extensive layout customisation. It does not collect what you type; internet access is used to download optional dictionaries.

HKeyboard is available now on Huawei AppGallery for EMUI

The Google Play version is undergoing closed testing and is not publicly released yet.

I’m especially looking for honest testing from:

• EMUI users
• Bilingual users
• Foldable owners
• People using languages other than English
• Former Gboard, SwiftKey and Celia users

Please include your phone, EMUI version, languages and what keyboard you normally use. Positive or negative feedback is welcome, I would rather know what needs fixing.

If you genuinely like it, an AppGallery review or independent post helps a solo developer enormously.

I'm not saying the keyboard is perfect, nor a replacement for any other keyboard out there, it wasn't intended for that, HKeyboard as well as HarmoniKeyboard is built for a fresh new keyboard to use, something different, where you can design it however you want, your own background that it matches the accents on the photo and blends the keyboard accents into it. You want a Blackberry style keyboard, I got the theme, you adjust the keys to match and you got a Blackberry style keyboard, you want a pink fairy-tale keyboard, you got it, use the built in "Build my Keyboard" and you got any theme you want in there!

This keyboard is highly customizable and I mean highly, I plan to do a lot more with it, from improvements to languages, customizations and more stuff, why? Because genuinely, I just can, it settles my ADHD down a little too which really benefits my mental state.

If you've used HKeyboard (HarmoniKeyboard), you'd know that the Sound & Vibrations have been pretty low key rubbish.

So not this update coming, but the next update, it will have an overhaul done to it, with sounds you can choose from, up to 18 different sounds, a more customizable control for both sound and vibration too. The vibration now uses your phones motors instead of just vibrate, which makes phones with good vibration motors take advantage of it for a much better feel!

HarmonyOS NEXT devices will get V2.1.19 next.

EMUI will get V1.4,

Google Play Testers will get V1.6

Hello everyone!

I wanted to take the time to write a heartfelt message to everyone that's donated to my Ko-Fi (https://ko-fi.com/harmonikeyboard) and everyone that has given feedback over the past 5 months of this development.

This is the first time I've actually been lost for words and I don't fully understand how I am supposed to feel about it. Along with my ridiculous update sizes due to my ADHD, I am also autistic and feelings isn't something I'm very good at, unless I hit my toe, then laughter, crying and screaming is my go-to emotion, like everyone else. So just imagine an emotionless Terminator typing this. (not AI 😂)

This has been quite a ride for me so far, being quite numb emotionally, feeling slight excitement and upset over the whole thing. I have got HarmoniKeyboard available on HarmonyOS NEXT devices with massive struggle with translations, restrictions with Huawei themselves and to be honest, probably one of the most frustrating experiences I think I've had trying to share something online. It's definitely been worth it though. Seeing HarmoniKeyboard go over 2000+ users, HKeyboard I'm still waiting to see how that is going to go (hopefully good!), but hearing the comments from some users about it replacing GBoard and SwiftKey, these are big ass companies building these keyboards, with years of experience up against my solo keyboard made by a Welsh guy in a Caravan in one of the worst heatwaves we've had in years 😂. Yes the keyboard has it's faults, but I am ready to fix anything that needs fixing or adding anything that is reasonable to add.

I cannot reply to reviews on AppGallery (HarmonyOS) side due to my account being Global and the AppGallery being Chinese only, which is a huge shame, I've fixed multiple reviewers issues, but they haven't updated the review and I can't comment to let them know it's done either. It's quite frustrating not being able to communicate with people when I need to.

This keyboard is an open door for me to hopefully get some form of financial freedom for my family, that's my goal, not just the financial side of it, but being able to actually help improve others experiences with something is a better feeling than money. I don't plan to go anywhere either.

I have build another app called HCloud, which helps bridge Huawei and Google together, if you don't know, Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT devices are CN (chinese) only, so Google is completely banned on there, no backing up of photos or files, but, HCloud does allow this, with a lot of hours waiting for Huawei, back and forth of rejecting my app, the pleasant feeling of success was overwhelming when they finally approved it!

I cannot fund my life through the keyboard on HarmonyOS as there's strict Global/China rules with payments. I am trying to figure it all out, but translating things and trying to figure things out is difficult, my brain goes into meltdown reading 1 line of text. I won't be going over this again because I know I wll end up selecting it all and just deleting it 😂 so hopefully this post is read and understood.

This is only supposed to be a THANK YOU post. But obviously turned out to be a stupid story, sending lots of love to everyone, even if you don't like the keyboard or what I am creating. You can all do it to.

I built HarmoniKeyboard for myself, got it published to the AppGallery (CN) due to people asking a me and here we are now, almost 4 months in and I have a keyboard, backup app and currently developing a couple of other apps.

So, this post, if you have feedback for HarmoniKeyboard or any other Apps, get in touch, I have responded to everyone that I know of so far and will continue to do so. I'm currently working on a huge optimization and language overhaul on V2.1.16 which is taking longer than expected, but it will be worth it.

Any reviews put on the AppGallery, just know that of I haven read the review, I will hit the "thumbs up" button as I cannot reply on there. But all reviews have been noted and low ratings due to bugs have been fixed.

once V2.1.16 Is uploaded, I will be finished HCalculator and Updating HCloud. Also HKeyboard will be almost ready for release too.

I love this theme. It's great at night and people can't read it 😂
