First cutting board for Japanese knives

Looking to buy a cutting board to use with my Japanese knives. I’m looking for something durable, won’t dull my blades, and won’t have the “stuck on” feeling get sometimes when the knife is too sharp and gets stuck on the board, although I understand that this may be a technique issue or a trade off with harder but more dulling boards. Something on the heavier/stable side would be great too.

I do basic meal prep, fruits, vegetables, meats, nothing too hard core, I don’t cleave and break down meat and bones.

I’ve done some initial research into Hinoki boards and hasegawa but running into some research/decision fatigue and could use some advice and further direction. I know there are some hisoft synthetic boards but idk if they’re good for my use case, also do people worry about microplastics and using plastic cutting boards as opposed to wood?

Thanks all!

First TT bike

Looking into buying my first TT bike for middle and long distance triathlons, budget of 5-7k. My top 3 options are the following:

Canyon Speedmax CF Di2 - $6k

Cervelo P-series Rival AXS - $7k
- I believe the stock wheels on these aren’t as great/deep

Quintana Roo XPR 105Di2 - $7k for my build with DT Swiss 62mm depth wheels

Already had a prebike fit and know all 3 options will work. Loooking for any suggestions or additional insight between these 3 bikes for a long term investment and hopefully to partake in many future races. Thanks in advance!!

6-7k bike budget

Completed 70.3 La Quinta last December as my first triathlon. Had so much fun and learned a lot, then took some time off since then. Now signing up for the same race this December and want to take training more seriously and aim for sub 5:30.

I did that first triathlon on a used Specialized Allez 105 with profile design tri bars. Biked about 3hrs due to some serious cramping, I was aiming closer to 2:30.

Now looking for an upgrade. Not sure I want to get a TT bike at this point, as I still want to go out and do some casual biking. Ideally I think I’d want the Allez hooked up to my trainer and a nicer road bike for my main race (triathlons) and outdoor bike, with a future goal of doing a full distance Ironman.

With a 6-7k budget, what would you recommend for my situation? I don’t really do a lot of group rides but could be interested. I’m mainly concerned with training and doing more 70.3’s with a full hopefully in the future. With an Allez already should I just get a TT bike? Or should I get a nicer road bike? Was looking into specialized sl8 cs canyon aeroroad vs cervelo soloist vs Chinese xlab etc. TBH just getting decision fatigue at this point going down the rabbit hole.

TLDR; 6-7k budget, Ironman training, TT vs road bike purchase (already own an older specialized Allez 105 mechanical with tri bars)

Vintage sub 14060

Looking into buying a vintage submariner 14060 from the 90s. I see some of them listed with a “navy blue aluminum bezel”. I’m aware of ghost bezels but I’ve always thought that they faded out more gray than blue. I’ve never really seen a lot of them with these blue bezels. Are these watches legit? Or are they using a different bezel or are they frankenstein watches??
