Question for Rainy Season

I have to do a Visa run by September 29. Initially, I was going to do the bus to Laos. But I hear October and November are very rainy in Da Nang. I was thinking about going to Thailand (Chiang Mai) for two months instead. Thoughts?! I've never been to Chiang Mai but keep hearing good things. Is the rain season here really that unbearable? Thanks!

AMA: 6-Month Update: Left America and Have No Intention of Ever Returning

I (36 year old Iranian-American male) made a post in December about leaving the country I was born in, with no plans to ever return. I’m currently in Da Nang, Vietnam. I spent my first three months in Turkey, where I fell in love with a girl, followed by one month in Thailand and two months in Malaysia. I can see myself staying in Da Nang for the foreseeable future.

I Need a New Show Recommendation

Finished The Leftovers last night. Season 1 was really good, but the last two seasons were quite mid. 7.5/10

Caught up on House of the Dragon (only show i'm currently watching)

I also recently finished Andor (great, 9/10), Widow's Bay (meh, 6/10), and From (awful, 3/10).

I've heard good things about Dark but looking for other suggestions as well.

Thanks!

Season 3 is Awful

I kept seeing this show recommended on countless posts. The show started off promising and I think Season 1 was great. But good lord, season 2 felt like a completely different show and couldn't hold my interested one bit. I'm currently on episode 5 of season 3 and wish I had disappeared. You guys hyped the hell out of this show and now I feel betrayed.

I am in desperate need of show recommendations!

Send help!

Here is a list of some of my all-time favorites:

The Sopranos (all time GOAT)

Lost (I liked the ending just fine)

Breaking Bad (finally got around to watching this a couple of weeks ago)

Better Call Saul (finished this a couple of days ago)

Game of Thrones (I didn't really mind the last season)

Mad Men

Succesion

Mr. Robot (did not expect to like this as much as i did)

Twin Peaks (didn't really care for The Return)

Westworld (Season 1 was amazing but i agree with the criticism of the subsequent seasons)

Hannibal (underrated show)

Chernobyl

Band of Brothers

True Detective ( Season 1 only)

Andor ( not even a Star Wars fan but great show)

Shows I liked (not loved):

Six Feet Under

Boardwalk Empire

Fargo (only watched season 1 & 2, didn't care for season 1 but season 2 was quite good)

Shows I couldn't get into:

The Wire ( i know i know.. tried watching the 1st episode at least 6 times and couldn't even finish)

The Leftovers ( watched only a few episodes but the story didn't grip me)

Any recommendations?

Also, I have heard good things about The Americans (currently on episode 2 lol) and DARK (currently watching episode 1)

Pickleball in Da Nang

Hello!

I am coming to Da Nang in a couple of weeks and was wondering if any pickleball groups or expat groups exist.

Thanks!
