Week 3 of official Ramp, can’t seem to book anyone

Hey guys. I’m a relatively new SDR working at a tech company. The other new hire already has 4 AE handoffs as of last week and I have 0.

Firstly, I’m looking for general advice and tips.

So far I’m just grinding out the prospecting-Gong workflow. My emails aren’t super personalized but they are specified to people with the same job title for each account.

My cold calling is meh, I don’t know the best way to ask discovery questions and push back on objections. But I’m not the worst either.

I feel like I’m just doing tedium without getting any results.

Also I’m worried about my job now, since the pressure is now on me to get up to speed with the other new hire.
With 0 AE handoffs, when should I start being worried about getting fired?

Obsession vs Crush

Friends, sometime ago I started developing a crush on a friend, let’s call her G.

I was kind of in a bad place, unemployed, insecure, struggling with a few other things. And you know when a crush is essentially the best thing in your life? That’s when I feel it’s unhealthy for me to pursue.

So I didn’t actually make any moves, but then we ended up hanging out a couple of times. And the energy was, fine?? I was awkward and unsure of what I wanted, so I was kind of in my head the whole time. Nevertheless, it seemed like she enjoyed it and might’ve wanted another outing.

But now, this person is away right? And I’m still kind of in love with her? But I don’t really know how to express it or what to do about it. I’m finding myself not moving on, because we’ll actually be in the same location again this fall, so it’s not like it’s entirely out of the question.

But we only communicate via IG, and I’ve found myself spiraling into this obsessive dopamine cycle where I anxiously check my messages to hear from her and overthink everything. Like it’s hard not to think of her sometimes, and I don’t think I’m channeling those emotions healthily.

It’s led to this cycle where I distance myself from her and don’t want to smother her because I feel like such an obsessive creep, but I don’t want to push her away because I genuinely do want to ask her out when we see each other again (if the feelings are mutual).

But I’m just like stuck in this waiting mode. And I don’t know if this is healthy. And idk how I should communicate with her right now.

I couldn’t express myself to my crush and now she’s leaving

I (22M) have a friend, named X. I went out with her one night, a while ago, and it was fun I felt we had chemistry. It was afterwards that I actually developed feelings for her.

And the puzzling thing is that I don’t know how crushes work, I don’t know how much of it is rooted in fantasy versus the reality of knowing and being drawn to a person, and I don’t know how much of that is good or bad. But regardless, I did develop feelings for this friend, I thought about her almost every day, even though we didn’t spend that much time together.

But then in the rare moments when X and I would see each other, after I was concretely aware of my feelings for her, I’d just shut down. I’d be too anxious and too muted to test the reality of my feelings.

About a week ago I asked her if she wanted to hang out, and then she asked if I wanted to hang out the whole day. I said yes, and we ended up taking a day trip together, with a picnic blanket.

I didn’t necessarily think it was a date, but I wondered if it was because of the setting and how enthusiastic she seemed. I would’ve been fine with it if it wasn’t, but I never even asked, or tried to see if it could be.

I felt myself shutting down again, and I was also sleep-deprived as fuck, I found it hard to feel anything. It was fine, but the chemistry was just ok, normal. And I was so guarded the entire time, and when opportunities presented themselves to tell her I had feelings for her or lean into it, I just didn’t take them.

I wouldn’t be so depressed if I at least told her or tried. I realized I’ve become so avoidant and so emotionally guarded since my last relationship that I can’t express myself.

And I don’t know what to do now, she’s leaving soon, and I think telling her would just seem out of place. I can’t help but feel like even if it wasn’t a date, that was the time to do something and I blew it. I don’t even know for sure if we actually have chemistry because every time I’ve walled myself up.
