I 30f have a newly diagnosed chronic illness thats causing issues with my 32m bf

Hi all

I’m 30f and I’ve been newly diagnosed with chronic migraine and IIH and have been in a constant flare since December. It’s been awful and I’ve been unable to work since January.

In December I got into a relationship with a great guy, however he doesn’t seem to understand 100% of what’s happening.

I’ve been on so many different medications and the side effects have been awful. The one thing that’s been really affected is my libido and we haven’t slept together. I genuinely do not have the energy and my vision is permanently blurred at the moment.

I feel like this is starting to take its toll on the relationship. He expected something to happen last weekend as my roommates were out but I’d been in hospital 2 days before and had been put on a really strong medication that sedates me. I genuinely did not have the energy to do anything.

Is this something that could be a deal breaker for him?

Am I a bad gf for not being able to do anything?

Chronic illness in a new relationship

Hi all

I’m 30f and I’ve been newly diagnosed with chronic migraine and have been in a constant flare since December. It’s been awful and I’ve been unable to work since January.

In December I got into a relationship with a great guy, however he doesn’t seem to understand 100% of what’s happening. Which k completely understand as I don’t either.

I’ve been on so many different medications and the side effects have been awful. The one thing that’s been really affected is my libido and we haven’t slept together. I genuinely do not have the energy and my vision is permanently blurred at the moment.

I feel like this is starting to take its toll on the relationship. Is it normal for libido to go away and to not have enough energy?

Sorry I know this is a lot. I don’t really have anyone I can ask.
