More Preseason Garbage
As I look at these rankings, I see the Gamecocks at 48. I’m not surprised by that. I’m kinda surprised that there are 12 ACC schools ranked above USC. This time of year should even remind us SEC schools that preseason talk and polls are beyond garbage. I will admit that our conference has probably benefited more from preseason hype than anyone else outside of Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Just rewatched it…
I just rewatched Oz for the first time in over 20 years. It definitely should be a required viewing for all high school aged males. For some reason, I don’t remember the ending being the way it was but nevertheless, it was very anticlimactic. If we were to put our realistic expectations on for a minute, no way a prison could have that many murders and the staff keep their jobs…😂

Gentrification
The culture of Charleston has changed dramatically. There was a large African-American-Geechee presence before gentrification came through catering to midwest yuppies. Part of the cultural lure is exactly what was changed. There’s not much else meant to gain from this post. It’s just that I miss the non-white washed Charleston. Yeah, I know money talks and money strips culture.

I was just curious what kind of luck other students (current and past) had with landing internships. Did you get them on your own? Did USC help you land them? What was the pay like if you did get one?
