Valhalla Remake

Years ago, maybe some of you (like me) played the game "Valhalla" by Legend on a ZX Spectrum or C64. It took AGES to load the game, often it would fail to load halfway. Once you got into the game, it felt epic but it took ages to do anything and you'd run out of food or Krank would kill you. I never finished it ...

I recently remembered the game and wondered what you actually had to do to finish it. From there, I ended up generating a JSON file from the graphical map and then somehow I fell down a slippery slope into a game rebuild!

I wrote up the 'makingof' exploits here:

I really hope one of the original authors finds this work and enjoys a playthrough. I agonisingly modernised the graphics, kept the original gameplay (you can make the engine more lenient through the settings).

This is my first attempt at doing a 'modern' version of an original. Enjoy!

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to post - if not please let me know I'll remove!

LEDs on helmet & motorcycle - are they legal? Would they make any difference?

After getting my bike back on the road again (yay!) I've been getting into watching a few YouTube ride improvement/crash avoidance channels like Fortnine, Moto Control etc.

One thing that comes up a lot is car drivers turning right (or left if you live in some uncivilised part of the world - I jest) at junctions not seeing approaching motorbikes because they assume the single headlight is a car far in the distance.

There are a few helmet and bike mods you can add like a neat pair of LEDs on the front of the bike plus the 'braking' light on the back of the helmet.

Has anyone added these, and anecdotally at least - do they feel safer?

EDIT: LEDs mounted on your bike are not legal. The helmet LEDs are not illegal (nuance) but you are recommended to avoid blue LEDs or flashing red for obvious reasons.

The helmet LEDs together with a high-vis jacket would seem like a good idea.
