Picked up a TV yesterday

My beloved 42" Panasonic ST plasma died Saturday evening so i began the search for a replacement. I live very rural so finding a 144 hz TV was a challenge. After driving two hours to look at a 65" U6 on steep discount the store employee said another location two hours away had a 75" open box for the same price. After taking some measurements on my vehicle I set off to buy the 75. After a ten hour day I have it set up temporarily on my snake enclosure while I wait for a wall mount. I am still mourning the loss of the ST, but the U6 is pretty good! My highest fidelity physical media was the OG Alien, so that's what I watched last night lol

This was actually a few weeks ago, but saw these horrors beyond human imagination while looking at other pics on my phone. Photo taken on a shallow brook Downeast.

Edit: for those who can't tell, this is a mass of black fly larvae.

Edit 2: I have been informed that this is very likely a raft of springtails and I was wrong in my identification of blackfly larvae.

Edit 3: they might also be a raft of midge larvae after more investigation. They are known to form large rafts in the pictured conditions.

But I did stop to take pics before letting it back outside. It was very challenging to get clear pics! ID not necessary, but welcome!

I have two DSiXL consoles that I rebuilt myself. The white one has aftermarket shell, screens, and digitizer with original buttons. The pink has OEM screens and shell with screen protectors, but the top screen is a used replacement. Both top screens have minor blemishes; pink has a small scuff on the top LCD panel and there is a single bad pixel on the white top screen.

The color differences are minor and likely unnoticeable while using the device, but this post may be useful for folks trying to tell if their console is all original or not. I always felt like my pink XL had better screens, but I haven't had them side by side until recently since my partner always has the white one and I use the pink one daily.

Yesterday I stalled like three times because hill hold assist is so aggressive. This is after many stalls over the last two months since buying my used manual Renegade. After the three consecutive stalls I disabled the hill hold assist. Later on while driving home after taking off from an incline that reliably triggers hill hold the warning light came on.

Has anyone else had this same sequence of issues? Will be posting to the Renegade web forum as well.
