Was looking forward to the NH-D15 G2 Chromax for a while. I purchased the heatsink cover for the NH-U12A on one of my builds and it really completed the look. I'm just wondering why Noctua decided not to release one this time?

As ridiculous as it sounds, that's one of the things holding me back from purchasing the NH-D15 G2. Not having the option to put a cover on it will make it feel incomplete and lack that personal expressive flair.

From what I understand, the NA-HC4 can fit the NH-D15 G2, but kind of awkwardly. The first fin stack is slightly smaller than the second, so it'll look slightly off. I've also seen people 3D print their own heatsink covers, but it doesn't have that nice metallic look compared to the official ones.

The last possible option would be to buy a NH-D15S and put on G2 fans with the heatsink cover, but leaving performance on the table like that for visual looks would be an odd choice.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've been having a problem ever since I built my PC last year. On startup, before the POST happens, my screen is sometimes completely black and tells me there's no signal. The fix for this is to unplug the HDMI cable from my GPU for 10 seconds, plug it back in, then my PC starts POSTing.

Is there a more permanent solution for this? I did a little research, and some sources say it's a handshake problem. Just wanted to hear some other opinions before I go poking and prodding in my settings.

I'm trying to create hair emissions for my avatar. Using the 2D texture to create a mask is unreliable as I can't make a consistant gradiant across all the individual strands of hair. I'm going to have to make a mask using a 3D paint program.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I have Substance 3D painter but I'm a complete beginner with it. I have a lot more experience with Blender.
