BOM management software recommendations for a hardware startup?

We're moving quite quickly from prototype to production and our BOM is starting to outgrow excel spreadsheets. Managing revisions, supplier information, costs and approved parts is becoming much harder than i expected. I've started looking at bom management software but there are so many options it's difficult to know where to start. Some seem focused on boms only, while others are part of a broader plm platform. I'm hoping people here will be able to suggest which tools are worth considering for a small hardware team.

Our AI governance review didn't find the problem we expected

We kicked off an ai governance review expecting to find a list of approved and unapproved ai tools. Instead we discovered the bigger problem wasn't knowing which ai people were using. It was understanding what happened after those systems were connected to internal data and business processes. The conversations quickly shifted from policies and acceptable use to all embracing issues. We need to know what exactly these ai agents could access. How would we know if their behavior started changing. Would we even have enough visibility to investigate an incident? It felt like we started with governance but ended up talking much more about operational control. My question is did anyone else find their ai governance project took a different direction than they expected? Our ai governance review didn't find the problem we expected.

Cash flow software that helps with owner draws?

I am not looking for payroll software or accounting advice. I just want a better way to decide when it's actually safe to pay myself without constantly second guessing whether I should leave more cash in the business. Curious what other business owners are using.

Best AI agent observability tools once you have multiple agents deployed?

We've started leaning on a handlful of AI agents for internal workflows. The hardest part isn't building them it's figuring out where the things break. Once agent times out, another gets incomplete context, then something downstream fails and the logs don't really explain why. I've been looking at agent observability tools and most of the comparisons out there feel written by people who've only run this stuff in a demo. I'd love to hear what you're using to trace requests across multiple agents and tools. What do you wish you'd started monitoring earlier? Not looking for a big vendor list. More interested in what actually holds up once things get mess.

Has anyone here actually built a HIPAA compliant app with no code tools?

Please share your experiences, what tools did you use, what part of the compliance were the hardest to handle and did no code make the process easier or more complicated?

What's your real time guardrail setup for copilot and other ai agents?

I've been trying to get a better understanding of how teams are putting guardrails around tools like Microsoft copilot and other ai agents in real world environments. A lot of the focus seems to be on policies, permissions and post action monitoring. But the part can't quite wrap my head around is what happens in the moment, when someone is actively interacting with an agent. For example if someone paste sensitive data into a prompt, or an agent starts pulling data from multiple sources and combining it, how is that being controlled in real time? I've come across a few mentions of real time guardrails and things like tracking how data flows during interactions but i don't fully understand how that works in practice or how mature those solutions are yet. Is this something people are actually implementing today or is it still mostly theoretical? Would really appreciate hearing how others are approaching this, especially if you're already using AI agents in production.

Anyone regret doing a tub to shower conversion?

Our hall bathroom still has the original tub. We literally never use it and have been talking about converting it for years but I'm worried i'll have buyer's remorse the second the project is done. Anyone experienced this? Was it worth it for you in the end?

What internal audit software is your team actually happy using?

I'm trying to get a better read on what teams are actually happy with now. There are a lot of lists out there but most of them feel recycled or too salesy. I'm more interested in what internal audit teams are using day to day once the demo is over. What's holding up well for testing, reviews, documentation and keeping things moving without adding a bunch of manual work? Would be great to hear what's been worth looking at and what kind of team it fits best.

Help me find a durable coffee maker for daily use

I'm a looking for a simple, coffee maker that I can use every day for years. I'm considering a Bialetti Moka pot or an AeroPress but I'd love to hear from people who have owned one for a long time and would still recommend.
