Getting started

Hi 👋🏽 everyone.
I’ve been wanting to get into beading for the last several years, and after seeing all of your beautiful work I am inspired to actually take the step. But my question is, how do you get started if you don’t have anyone teaching you? I’ve done some Google searches and found some stuff on YouTube, but I wanted to know if there was any resource that may be better than another? I am out of touch with anyone that beads but I am really being pulled to start beading myself.

I love Chicago, don’t get me wrong, but I live in MD and sometimes I feel like just driving myself maybe be shorter than the taxiing time.

Flight credit

Quick question that I feel like should have a simple answer but I can’t think of it. I just remembered I have some flight credit that I need to travel by September 1. Is there any way to extend this? If I use it to buy a new ticket and then cancel the ticket, does that extend the flight credit?

I don’t know if you guys remember a little while ago when there was a hoarding situation that overwhelmed the Kitsap County animal shelter, and U/KickinCoyote was generous enough to offer beadwork for anyone who donated to help the animals.

I donated and let u/KickinCoyote know, and just said some general things that I enjoy so they could just have some idea of what to do creatively for the beading.

I received it today and I am smiling so hard. The sand dollar keychain, the heart connector, the lanyard that fades from the color of the sand to the waves to the ocean to the sunset.

It is absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t be happier!! Especially knowing the donation went to the animals and u/KickinCoyote was gracious enough to donate their time and supplies and skills to create something so beautiful that sums up all of my favorite things in life. Thank you for your heart, for sharing your skills, and for ultimately saving who knows how many animals lives with your post. 💕
