Should I have a second portfolio?

I've been applying for copywriting jobs recently in a few different industries, however should I create a separate portfolio for cannabis copywriting? I only thought maybe this since some companies still are anti- weed.

[Recommendations] Any recommendations on who to do print on demand with?

I have dtv and htv that I work with on my shirts. I've made examples and spent quite some time with prototypes until I was satisfied. However now that I've received my first custom shirt order I have repeatedly come across so many issues making 1 shirt that I just want to scream. So for my own designs to be on pod, any advice on who to go with who is good quality and not super high fees?

[Discussion] How much of a bad move is this?

So I had my items in a shop for almost a year where there was a monthly fee for me to rent space, not a consignment set up. I had like under 5 sales so decided to get out. I finally got up there with my bf driving because I can't drive that far with health condition. The store owner was gone the day I picked up my items and apparently I left behind like 2 items, probably the same amount of money to spend gas to go that way one way. Is it silly to just be like keep it or toss it? I feel kinda ridiculous to go back for so little and while we kinda live each other, I feel it isn't super plausible for her to just drop it off for me due to different schedules.

How do you balance work and pain?

I have several chronic pain issues stacked up, some new some old. But I feel like I'm in pain everyday from one or more things and some days it is just too much and I miss work which has led to me being fired and isn't great being at a new job. I've failed to get onto disability as they think I'm not disabled enough. So basically does anyone have any tips getting through the daily grind? Financial stress is too much when missing work.

Is a one page website for your website acceptable?

I have been trying to check different sites to potentially host a copywriting site (free for now). I was planning BigCartel but I think that's more for products. I've looked at Copyfolio but I was thrown off by it not seeming super mobile friendly which I felt would be a turn off. I understand Caard is a 1 page and I'm not sure if that's cool and how to have it not look like sheer chaos. I also thought of Canva but I haven't used it for a website. Total newb to the copywriting game

[Art Galleries] Has anyone had this happen?

There's a market + gallery showing that's being put on by a local business workshop that I graduated from that I was accepted to for both sides. I emailed trying to ask for clarification which pieces to bring as I submitted examples of my art quite a while ago and I wasn't sure if some were accepted and others weren't. I was told that it wasn't a juried show and just seemed like stick to theme, so I emailed back asking if there's a limit on how many pieces an artist can bring, only to get an email back that they now believe their at max capacity and might reach out depending on layout possibly changing. I'm totally thrown off as the event is in under 2 weeks. This would be only my 2nd gallery show and wanted to know if anyone had anything similar?

I don't want to burn bridges with the local art scene but I'm not sure if like addressing this to the staff I dealt with in the workshop about it as the gallery side i think is someone else but idk

Any tips for LinkedIn/building a portfolio with no official experience?

I have creative writing experience and I've created ads/emails but for my little art business. I did create a handful of spec examples for a mortgage company I'm interested in applying to for a portfolio but I'm not sure the best site for hosting it (I was looking at Copyfolio but noticed it seemed weird on mobile which I assume you'd want mobile friendly).

My actual job experience on LinkedIn however is primarily customer service/sales so I'm not sure how to have it lean more copy. I'm also not sure if for the portfolio it would be acceptable to post not only the mortgage ads that I created, but ones covering my art business and an ad for a grooming company my friend owns to just provide more examples or nor necessary.

[Discussion] Is it normal to be emailed directly to see if a product is still available?

Is it normal for someone to just email you directly (I don't really have my direct art email out in the open,I have a separate contact email for clientele). But had my main art email addressed with a few of my paintings attached asking if they're still available, which as listed they are (except for one which is only in print form). I'm not quite sure how to address it other than confirm yes and that they can reach purchase directly through my site (but also one of the paintings I'd have to collect from the store it's at).

Orrrr does it seem scammy?

*edit: found out it is listed on my business Facebook but still not sure if normal

If you're selling in person/directly through your site cs ebay, what do you charge?

I still haven't started yet because when I hand cut to size they weren't straight and I haven't gotten an actual paper cutter yet. But curious about adding to art fairs I'll be doing

(Painters) Do you include the title to your pieces in your display?

& description?

I'm trying to up my game from last year and I wasn't sure if I should. I'm pushing about 40 paintings of various sizes. Before I used those stickers for yard sales for my prices, but I was thinking of just using my cricut and paper to cut some in the gift tag/sales tag square kinda shape

Has anyone used a blind box/mystery box in their set up?

I'm just curious how successful it was? I was thinking of either handmaking one with cardboard or 3d printing one since I don't have the funds for an actual sticker/mini vending machine. If you have tips on making one, I'd appreciate it.

I was thinking of just having ACEOs/mini paintings in it. Not sure what I should price them at, but likely under $10.

I have about 28 paintings with like 10 of them being 16"x20" and larger. I only have 1 grid panel currently plus I'm doing a show with limited space. So I was considering bringing like a portfolio of the other paintings but I'm not sure if that's worth it?

Tbh i didn't know what to title this. But basically I was in an art show last year where I exchanged numbers with the gallery coordinator. I recently applied to be back in the gallery. Since then I've received random YouTube links at like 1 am from her and was put into a group chat with more YouTube links and a request to vote for her in the People's Artist. I have been ignoring it because I thought lile mistake texts but I'm also like um what? And I don't want to burn bridges with the local art community as I'm just starting out.

So a lot of my paint brushes are stiff/dry/crunchy kinda useless rn. I've tried still to use some but it can give texture/streaks that I don't want.

I don't really have the budget right now to replace my brushes and was wondering if anyone has an idea to make them at least semi-normal. I've soaked in both white vinegar and rubbing alcohol before but one of them (don't remember which) made all the bristles fall out of a brush. I honestly have no idea what kind of brushes I've been using.

My paint I've been using: Acrylic, watercolor and sometimes gouache.

I'd also appreciate if you have advice on how to prevent in the future.

I'm really new to vending, this would only be my second year. I do have more paintings to be added into my inventory, but outside of that I just have stock from last year that didn't sell. I was just wondering if anyone had advice on how to make it seem still fresh since I'm repeating some events from last year.

I'm not totally sure if I can invest more money into stock like new stickers/art prints. I have a printer but I haven't narrowed down what paper to use moving forward with stickers, art prints and DTF. I do also have a few 3D prints [my own designs] from last year but I haven't added more...partially because of the 3D print hate out there and also because I just haven't sat down and designed more.

A 3D print and a sticker are more pride leaning and I'm in a pride event.
