Learning Divi for Client. Trying to match the look of another Divi website.

Hi there,

I have a client that I'm working for using a wordpress site. Their site uses Divi, so I need to learn it. At first, it was fine and I understand it on a basic level. However, my client recently made 2 unexpected demands.

FIrst, they sent me the following site and want me to use it as an example: https://wtsu101.org/

Second, they want their content to be easily togglable in English and French (They provided the copy for it).

I have no idea how to do either and I'm particularly stumped on modeling it after the website they sent me with the animated background and such. I did check the backend code and it is made in Divi as well, so there has to be some way to do it. I'd aprpeciate any tips on how to arrange the website (or at least the front page) in a similar way.

Encoding Overloaded issue makes stream freeze.

Hi there,

I've been streaming for a number of years and built a beefed up new PC which I've been streaming with since the Fall. However, I'm getting a new issue lately that is impacting my streams. Lately, my audience has claimed that my stream freezes and has buffering issues. When they tell me this in the chat, I notice no issues or dropped frames indicated at the bottom right of OBS, but the bottom left keeps showing: "Encoding Overloaded! Consider turning down video settings or using a faster encoding preset". I don't really understand what this means or why this is happening considering I haven't changed any settings recently my computer is several magnitudes stronger than my last. I'm running an AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X, MSI Gaming RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, and 32 GB DDR5 RAM on Windows 11.

I've tried messing with my stream settings, lowering quality, setting my encoding preset to be faster, putting a shorter bitrate, Nothing seems to work. Sometimes it will get the error to go away successfully, but sometimes not. When it happens, OBS does not say I'm dropping any frames, but looking at the stream on a browser shows the entire stream is frozen sometimes or stuttering. The only thing that seems to incrase the likelihood of it not happening is lowing the stream framerate, which I can't change while streaming. My older computer handled 60FPS just fine before, but now this might not be able to for some reason? I have looked up various settings to change, but I am still getting this error.

Can anyone recommend me some things to look into to try fixing this issue? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Aerial Freedom Blocker Deck

https://preview.redd.it/cvd3fm48cy9h1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=867c97e4a6ace1e311e65c39fe9c0a6a1972ec32

Trying to cobble a deck together with cards I have and have been able to source. I wanted to make a deck based around the Aerial and Freedom Gundam and see what I can make work with what I have.

My experience playing the game often has revealed 2 issues: a lack of draw power and hard time blocking. So, this deck has a few ideas.

It's White with a touch of green. Chuchu's Demi and Overflowing Affection are meant to provide draw power. Chuchu's Demi is a very cheap glass cannon and draw power engine that attracts attention as it draws and goes for shields/base. Blockers take the form of Flat, Launcher Strike, Aile Strike, Freedom Gundam, and Striker Pack for defense. Blocking is also accomplished through Cagalli on any White unit as well as one of the Freedom Gundam types having the ability to protect shield when it's rested on offense. Strike Rouge and Archangel go with this blocker strategy by being able to re-stand blockers, which turns blockers also into attackers who can be used offensively and then get re-stood for blocking. Whereas Freedom runs Defense, Aerial runs offense in all its forms, especially Aerial Rebuild which puts endgame pressure with unblockable High Maneuver. Chuchu herself works as both a link unit and as a defensive action to lower AP and increase the longevity of blockers.

A few other odd ideas I put in based on the cards I had. First Contact is either good for discard fodder or to increase my Level to get ahead of the opponent on play or burst, which is good for getting bigger units out more quickly to do pressure or setup a defensive line. One Green Suletta is used because I don't have a 4th White Suletta and is slightly stronger, even if her effect isn't really good. Encounter is used to help searching for pilots since this game has little to no search power yet. One single regular Aerial is there due to just wanting it there and because it can be a cheap beat stick if I get a bunch of commands in the grave.

The gameplan is to do a mass block to exhaust the opponent, get ahead with excess draw power, restand blockers to make them attack and block, and overwhelm with Freedom and Aerial Rebuild.

Any suggestions or advice would be welcome.

How to go about selling TCG cards?

I've been a longtime card game player that has played many TCGs since my childhood. Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokemon, Magic, Vanguard, Gundam and more. I have countless cards from over the years.

Lately, I've been really wanting to declutter and sell a few things. I still have the cards I've kept since I was a kid. I was going to just toss a bunch of them, especially the commons, at my local card shop. Then I heard something about a card I pulled a year ago in a recent card game I started trying being worth several hundred dollars and I started doing some digging. Someone told me to look things up on TCGPlayer and I started searching a some of the cards I own. My collection isn't worth a lot overall, BUT I discovered that there are a not-so-insignificant number of old cards I have from various games (and a few recent ones) that are worth $10 - 50, and a few worth a few hundred since they're surprisingly rare. Those cards were mostly never played and have sat in my card binders and tins for years in mint condition.

However, now I'm confused on what to do with this information. If I sell it to a local card shop, which I have tried, the price they give me is pretty well below what the internet says. I'm not quite understanding if TCG Player sells directly and how or if it's listing from elsewhere. I could try eBay, but eBay takes a pretty decent cut of the sale given the last time I tried selling something there. Facebook Marketplace is an option, I guess, but I've never tried it and I feel weird asking several hundred dollars for card board (I may not be any stranger to card games, but I have no idea why these cards specifically cost so much). Nobody I know would certainly pay that much for a single card and neither would I. Given that most of these cards are old or mysteriously worth something, I don't understand the market or if there's an actual buyer for these. I saw two cards I have going for around $1000 and my mind can't imagine anyone would buy a single card I own for that price.

Even more confusing is people are saying that you should grade the more valuable ones but grading many them costs almost as much as what the internet says it's worth so what's the point? Grading doesn't always seem to be worth a lot and it feels like some magical PSA 10 grade card might be worthless by the time it gets shipped and graded anyway. I have a more recent promo Pokemon card I thought nothing about from a gaming event that for some reason is worth A LOT right now and it's still in the plastic it was given to me, unopened and untouched. What need would I have to grade that?

I'd love to understand how to offload these cards at a good price, especially with the economy being what it is. Is TCGPlayer a good source to judge card worth? Should I look at other sources? How should I sell them and where to get the most bang for my buck? When is a good time to sell as these prices seem to go randomly up and down? I'm a person who values cards for play, and sometimes for display in a card binder. I've never been one to value cards as a form of weird stock market like some people have been in recent years, so this is very new territory for me.

How many of you have successfully gotten grants?

How many people here have gotten grants before? If so, do you mind sharing where you've gotten them from? Just curious because I've written grants for quite a while and much of these threads seem to be from beginners who are just jumping into grants. I'm curious how many people here actually succeeded and what their journey was.
