Is it possible to configure CloudFront, WAF and Route53 strictly in ca-central-1 region?

I am new to AWS, and currently working on a project with strict compliance regarding data. So my question is - Is it possible to lock location for CloudFront, WAF and Route53 to be strictly in ca-central-1 region? I understand these are global services, but I am not sure if the can be geo-locked?

Any help, advice or suggestions are highly appreciated!

POU rentals - Washer and Dryer

Hi everyone,

I am looking at house rentals and most of them are POU, I am just wondering how much does washer and dryer contribute to the electricity bill and how can that be managed? The house does not have a heat pump and if I use cold water only, how much am I looking to pay per month or year from washer/dryer usage only? If I were to do 6-8 loads a month.

I have only used common laundry room or laundromats all my life, so unsure of costs with in unit laundry.

Thanks in advance.

Room rental with ensuite bathroom with no door

I am looking at a room rental with an ensuite. The bathroom (shower and toilet) was installed in the room later, so currently there is no door. I spoke with the property management company about the door, and they said they would install it. But also the "bathroom" has no light or exhaust either, there is a lamp used in the bathroom for light.

The room is on the first floor with big windows and maybe can be used to ventilate, but I do not know how it would work in the winter.

The rent is great, and comes with a personal bathroom, I am very interested but concerned about dampness and smell, would it travel even after having a door installed?

If anyone here lived in a similar setting, please share your experience!

What topicals are safe with at-home IPL, mounjaro and BC?

[25F, 86kg, PCOS]

I have PCOS, hormonal acne, and facial hair growth. I have the insulin-resistant type, but after being on Mounjaro for 6 months, my insulin and HbA1c are all normal. I am still on Mounjaro 5mg and planning to stay on it for another year.

My skin has always been my biggest insecurity. I have coarse facial hair and I do at-home IPL for it 2 to 3 times a week (I know this is very frequent, but this is what works for me). I plan to reduce this to once a week next month. Please do not recommend professional laser sessions; I am broke and already struggle to buy Mounjaro out of pocket because it is working.

Every time I go to a dermatologist, they hand me a gentle face wash and a cream for active lesions like Fucidin, but nothing for acne spots or hyperpigmentation. I used tretinoin in the past, but my skin hated it.

I have been reading up on different creams for face-related issues, such as:

- Hydroquinone cream

- Glycolic acid 12%

- Azelaic acid 20%

- Adapalene cream 0.1%

- Eflornithine HCL cream (for facial hair)

However, I am not sure what would work best given my IPL routine, Mounjaro use, and PCOS.

I am also suppose to start Diane35 for hormone management, but I am scared it would cause weight gain and more acne.

It takes months to get a dermatologist appointment, so I would like to be informed on my appoinment which is scheduled in September.

I have attached photos of my cheeks, forehead, and nose.

Where to get reliable secondhand/pre-owned laptops?

Hey everyone,

I need a temporary spare laptop to use for a few weeks to a few months while I wait for replacement parts for my main machine.

Nothing fancy required, just something reliable enough for software and cloud development.

My Requirements:

OS: Windows

Screen Size: 14 to 15 inches

RAM: 8GB minimum (16GB highly preferred)

Storage: 256GB SSD minimum

Budget: Max 1000–1200 QAR (the cheaper, the better)

Does anyone know of or have experience buying from reliable stores or specific areas in Doha that sell verified pre-owned/refurbished laptops?

Thanks in advance for any leads or recommendations!
