Restored this piece a year ago. Decided to go for a slightly different color for the base but still something that fits the bygone era this belongs to (~1976). Had to get a new element and wiring but I’m glad I did because now it’s good for another 50 years. It’s stationed beside my trusty Cafelat Robot. Once you really understand the machine and its workflow, the cup quality really hits another level.

[Vintage Rolex] 72 years young

Inherited this piece a few years back and though I don’t wear it as often as I’d like, I do end up smiling each time I get to.

I won’t get into the state of watch collecting nowadays but let’s just say that Rolex knew how to build a watch way back in the 50s. No fuss, utilitarian, functional and straight up timeless.

Vintage watches just have an appeal that modern watches can’t replicate, no matter how hard brands like Tudor try.

It’s a beauty

I’ve had this piece for just over a year now and it still makes me smile, especially when the lighting is just right, capturing the vibrancy of all its quirky colors. Does your watch do the same for you? Have a great week yall
