So I get a pickup at a bar, dude waves me down, looking at his phone and checking my license plate. Buddy of his is standing there on the sidewalk. They talk to each other for a moment, then dude on sidewalk stumbles over to the car and gets in. Other guy walks back into bar. Confirm the guys name and address I’m dropping him off at, he acknowledges everything, so I take off.

10 minutes into the 15 minute ride, a message pops up saying “Hey you left us behind.”

WTF?

Start to become concerned I picked up the wrong person, so I ask the guy in back if his name is the one on the ride and says no and says a different name than when I confirmed before I started the trip. Ask him who the name was on the ride, he said that was his buddy. Ask him what address we’re going to and he says the correct one on the app. I then ask him if someone else was supposed to ride and he said he wasn’t sure.

Drop the guy off and message the person who messaged me that their buddy didn’t mention anyone else riding with him. Wait a minute, get no response, so I close the trip out.

A few minutes later I get a One Star review. 🤦🏻‍♂️

So I have had Pandora since the beginning and have used it almost exclusively for streaming music.

I have noticed however that some of my channels are not playing music that I liked some time ago.

For example, I have a channel that’s mostly 2010 era Indie music and M83 was a constant on that channel, but recently I’ve noticed the channel only plays one of their songs and it isn’t one I ever liked.
It never seems to play any of their other songs anymore. I checked and the songs are still liked, so I’m not sure what’s going on.

I spent many years curating the channel and I don’t want to have to start from scratch. Is there a way to fix this or am I just SOL?

For the first time in the several years I’ve been doing Uber, I missed a Reservation. I had accepted it about an hour before the pickup, did a few more trips, then decided to log off and head home because I was getting tired. About 10 minutes after I logged off, I got an email saying I missed it. Whoops, it completely slipped my mind.

You’d think they’d have a notification when you try to log off that you still had a reservation coming up, but that’s probably too much to ask around here. 😅

I’m hoping this is something addressed in 7, but there’s a few types of services and buildings that should be tiered for better options.

1. The Tavern. Clearly Tropicans get bored of the Taverns, mostly due to the poor service quality they provide and have no issue traveling across the map to go to something better. The problem is, the only upgrade from it is the Cocktail Bar, which pushes away poor Tropicans. I think there should be a mid-tier option like a Neighborhood Bar or something that’s the same size as the Tavern that can still allow poor Tropicans to patronize, but have better service quality with options to make quality and efficiency better.

2. Healthcare. There should be a Doctor Office that’s just one doctor and can handle like 6 people. This would be better for out in the middle of nowhere where you have like a couple houses and a mine or something. This would help with healthcare coverage IMO. The Clinics and Hospitals are still available.

3. Apartments. I really dislike that the upgrade from the apartments are the fancy looking high rise apartments, there should be a middle of the ground option, like a mid rise apartment building, before upgrading to the high rise.

4. Grocery Store. NGL the grocery store is kind of obnoxiously large and that the upgrade from there is the mall. There should be a smaller Corner store/Convenience Store and the grocery store can upgrade to a Super Market like there was in 5.

5. Schools. The fact that there’s no Primary school has always bugged me through the game series. There should be a school house or something that’s available from the start in Colonial times with one teacher and a dozen students.

These are just some things that crossed my mind. Maybe we’ll have some of this in 7, but I won’t hold my breath.

I’ve noticed if you build a tour office, the blue ring to put where you want the tourist to go will only go maybe 100ft from the building. I would expect it to go out farther.

I’m just trying to give my backpackers something to do. 😅
